There were maintenance workers working on balcony when we arrived and then some workers entered while we were not there. There was zero communication to let us know to expect this.

Under construction

This property is a construction zone lying in between 2 public beach access points. We were extremely angry to arrive only to find a mess - and a broken un usable pool. The penthouse was fully stocked and stunning. Extremely amazing views and clean. Very clean. However - while we were there stuctural engineers working on the building deemed it VERY unsafe for us and our children. We were told the balcony’s were not up to code - and we couldn’t go on them at all. The only other family staying in these condos the entire time we were there had a large piece of sheet metal fall onto their balcony from the workers and thankfully were not out there. Public beach access on both sides of the private beach means A TON of people - they will obstruct your view as the water is not deemed private. They show up and play football 10 ft from our babies - and don’t care if and when asked to move. It was an awful trip. Destin itself is slammed - hours of wait times at any restaurant. We were given a discount but honestly not enough of one. My 5 year old picked up a razor blade left on the ground, and the windows are covered completely in the kitchen - so no view there either. Id imagine when construction was complete this would be an ok place but honestly the public beach access surrounding us would ensure we wouldn’t return. We are happy to be going home today. Definitely do not bring kids here - unless construction is complete and I would ask for photos and something in writing stating that. We were told the pool was closed and that was it. It was FAR from just the pool. Workers began working around 7-7:30 am - extremely loud. And at night people would congregate below on the public beaches and were very loud until about 3-4 am a few of the nights - Hope this helps another family avoid a large amount of money being thrown away.

Construction

Mgmt company called day before we were going to leave. Said there was construction going on and the pool was closed. Wasn’t willing to take the risk of inconvenience factor. We should have been notified well beforehand. Cancelled. Got full refund.
