Mother’s Day Vacay

My family, and I came to Destin to celebrate Mother’s Day! The property was clean, the perfect size, and location. We love to cook, and the property was equipped with everything we needed. The only downside was the guest prior to our visit left their trash, which we had to smell, and deal with during our entire 5 day stay. I feel this trash should have been removed immediately. It was frustrating, and very unpleasant. I hope this doesn’t happen to others in the future. It would be a shame, with such a beautiful property. Overall, my family made the best of our vacation!

Nice location

Loved the location and neighborhood. The house is extremely nice, but it has not been taken care of very well. The floors and the steps with carpet were disgusting. All the towels/hand towels/wash cloths were stained. We were not notified the house was ready for check in. We came to multiple broken things such as one of the sliding doors in on of the bedrooms on the third floor, broken chair by the pool, kitchen trash cans were broken. Also, had a horrible time with having the trash picked up. Maintenance did stop by to take trash out to curb but was never picked up so they put the garbage cans back in the garage and made the whole house smell. The air conditioning seemed to not work and it was miserably hot. Other than that it was okay.

No washcloths and inappropriate charges

Upon the first night after a beach trip and pool evening we quickly discovered the house had two wash cloths. We had to bath 12 people with two wash cloths. Sent a text and email to request some asap. Took over 40hrs and 25 baths later to finally receive some more. Also we realized we only had ten wrist bands for the pool. With 12 people we opted to not put them on the toddlers. Great idea due to the fact if you were to loose one its a $50 fee. Great all go to the pool together. After our stay we were charged $100 due to "missing bands." We never had a confirmation on how many were supposed to be there. Just said dont loose them. And we didnt. We counted before and after. Also, we got an email to keep trash cans in the garage or we will be fined. No problem, however they were out when we arrived and we were unaware of the rule. Needless to say, I believe this will be the last scenic stay for us.
