"The glowing reviews for this rental didn’t mislead. The host, Brian, was the most communicative and thorough I have worked with. Very considerate, prompt, personable. This cabin is very small, but is somehow able to pack a ton of features into a hundred nooks and cozy corners. The best way to describe is like a Berenstain Bear’s house. Really fun personality and eclectic rustic and nostalgic art and decor. It is funky as opposed to high-end, but not at all like you’re roughing it.
We rented the bunk house as well. We ended up with 13 people and we were all very comfortable. The two couches in the living room are not actually futons, but trundle daybeds, so you are sleeping in actual mattresses and very comfy. I was surprised at how accommodating the sleeping was given the size. The bathroom is so tiny but somehow feels totally spacious (again, a magical Berenstain Bears type use of space) as does the loft area. Nice big window with lake view from there!
Fire pit is really spacious and has tons of seating. Large hot tub was really nice. Multiple outdoor tables and benches plus grill and smoker.
Lots of towels provided. Absolutely beautiful lake shore area with a smattering of paddle boards, kayaks, canoe, lounge chairs and really nice doc. The staircase leading down is actually like a lovely little steep hike with a stopping point you can sit and watch the sunset.
Note you do have to cross the road to get to the lake. The cabin is not actually up against the lake so be aware."
