“The host was welcoming and polite. Our flight was very delayed, due to weather, resulting in a late arrival. We had to call the host around 10 pm and Alex answered the phone and assisted us in finding the correct entrance and running to the grocery store for water and a little food. We had a few hiccups that were taken care of quickly. The cottage is rustic as noted and quaint. The distance to Cruz Bay and to all restaurants and the ferry is walk able, although sidewalks are rare. There was……

“Everything was excellent. We had some questions when we first arrived and the host was extremely helpful. Note: Just a FYI, you must climb 2 1/2 flights of stairs to get to the apt. We are in our 70’s and that was difficult with large luggage. We also had to walk about 2 to 3 blocks with luggage up a slight hill to get to the property.”

The area is very walkable-easy access to the local restaurants, shops and ferry. The hill going from the shops/restaurants to the property is quite steep, but this is mentioned in the listing and we actually enjoyed walking up and down it each day. We rented a Jeep as we were there for a week and did a lot of hiking and exploring. We had one small issue with the lock on……
