“Beautiful loft, great place to stay!!”

“Very nice apartment downtown Vandalia across from the old state house and several good restaurants. Vey clean with plenty of space. Note there is a long staircase to the apartment.”

“Went to visit kids who live in the area. Normally we get a hotel but decided to try doing something different. This was so much better than hotels and plan to go back next time we are down.”

“Last min pick- needed a bed to sleep in. Son said great location if wanting to explore.”

“Loved the atmosphere very unique and comfortable. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay the next time we travel this way”

“Decent place overall but not much in terms of extras.”

“This property was a little larger than the pictures made it look (in our opinion). It was clean and met all of our needs. We would definitely consider coming back in the future if traveling through Effingham again.”

“Lovely property, our only complaint is the couch is very uncomfortable. The host is very responsive to any issues. This is the second time we have stayed here and will definitely be back.”

“A calm spot ideal for a quick stopover.”

“Very clean and everything as promised! Would stay again!”

The shower is detaching from the wall, so I would definitely handle that. The coffee was good but low on creamer. There was nothing major, and I am quite picky. The town is right by a huge lake which is beautiful. With a little more detail to the smaller things, I think it could be quite inviting. Put some plants out front. The husband is only on his 40’s and……

“This place was great for our group of 8. The house was beautiful. The yard was beautiful. The only dings were the busy road out front and the noisy train nearby. Plus the towels were threadbare and had holes in them.”

“Amazing location and the property was perfect! Great communication with our host.”

“We had an excellent stay! Our group rented all four lofts, and each one was spotless, modern, and incredibly comfortable. Communication from the host was absolutely on point. check-in was super easy and everything was exactly as described. What really stood out were the little touches. They’ve done such a thoughtful job supporting the local community, which made the whole experience feel even more welcoming. There were so many little special touches throughout the lofts that I won’t give them……

“There was ample room for our group to spread out with easy parking nearby. Location felt perfect for visiting local attractions.”

“Quiet room located off ground floor helped moving luggage feel straightforward, while air conditioning kept us cool when temperatures rose during daytime hours nearby town attractions keep things interesting too!”

“Microwave worked well and warmed food evenly.”
