We stayed just one night, but we used the fire pit for a bonfire and grilling dinner fare, which provided an authentic camping experience.The last 100 feet of the gravel driveway are quite steep; one of the vehicles with front-wheel drive couldn't make it to the parking area, but the 4-wheel drive SUV managed without a problem.All in all, I would recommend this stay. ”

“We had a great time at this unique place in the wilderness. This huge property was very peaceful and included a little pond and a creek (!). And it is perfectly located for visiting the “New River Gorge” Nation Park. The cabin is extremely cozy and rustic with lots of wood, impressive hunting decoration and authentic furniture. The kitchen and the bathroom were well maintained and neat. And we loved stargazing in the jacuzzi. ”

“The "accuracy of this property" was not accurate because it was way more beautiful than the pictures I saw beforehand. The train roaring by a few times in the night...I thought I'd be upset by it. But the awesome late checkout, so chill welcoming feeling, meeting very cool John (host) and the incredible view made me not even remember it. I was only upset that I couldn't book more nights. :) ”

“The Jackson River Estate was the perfect getaway for our 2025 Family Reunion. The estate is very spacious and provides magnificent views. There is river access but the water is cold. The pool and slide were a big hit! Cole’s Point (beach), the humpback bridge and waterfall were super close and great excursions. This location is great for families that like to be outdoors…hiking, fishing, kayaking…Check-in/out was super easy. Although we heard there might have been a bear, there was no sighting.……
