“This place is a great - hosts are amazing people. They are intelligent, passionate, flexible, and friendly. Sunsrise view is great. Incredibly safe environment. You really feel like you have a degree of quiet separation from the bustle of Hilo that is only a short drive away. So best of both worlds. The tradeoff is that the village access does require a short drive on unpaved roads. So prepare mentally that this is a slightly more secluded location. You get a simple but thoughtfully……

“We had a wonderful stay at Studio Kohala Big Island Ocean View! The space was comfortable, peaceful, and offered beautiful views. Loved listening to the wind at night! The hosts were thoughtful and welcoming, and they even provided yogurt and fresh fruit for us in the morning, which was such a nice touch. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. Highly recommend!”

“Kohala Lodge is not just a place to stay, it is a destination. If you visit the Big Island, it is one of the bucket-list experiences you must have. Scenic, tranquil, magical all come to mind. Sit on the expansive front porch and contemplate that you are on an island in the Pacific with a view of Maui in the distance. Feed the animals with pellets provided by the owner. When the breeze gets quite cool, you can build a fire in the stone fireplace with wood provided by the owner. I did not cook, so……

“This room is definitely a garden oasis surrounded by beautiful fruit trees and gardens. Located in quiet neighborhood, very comfortable and clean. ”

“This property was perfect for my family. Not only was the house spacious, but the back yard was also huge. My children enjoyed playing in the yard, watching the stream at the edge of the yard, and visiting the neighbor's horse! Having access to the laundry was very helpful for us. We had everything that we needed in the house. Everything was clean. Communicating with our host was easy. Check-in directions were easy to follow.”

“Great private location, quiet and beautiful place to relax but close to activities. We cooked most of our meals there in the little kitchen which provided most of the essentials. The washer and dryer was perfect for our week stay. The room stayed cool with the extra fans. We definitelywill be returning. ”

“Unfortunately I am unable to provide information about my stay as I never stayed due to the Kona Storm that hit the Hawaiian Islands. We were unable to travel to Kona from the Island of Lanai because of boat and flight cancellations. Additionally to that it was disappointing that I was unable to switch dates or obtain a refund for this stay. I contacted the host who was unaccommodating to our circumstance. I am hoping they make right of this situation.”
