Nestled among the trees in the beautiful Tennessee countryside, the Country Penthouse offers a peaceful place to relax and unwind. Watch the sunrise over the treetops from your private deck and enjoy the sunset from your private balcony. Listen to the birds, take in the wide-open spaces, and enjoy a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

A Peaceful Country Setting Close to So Much

Enjoy the tranquility of the country while still being just minutes from historic downtown Dickson, Tennessee, where you'll find locally owned restaurants and coffee shops, antique and vintage stores, boutiques, local history, and plenty of small-town charm.

Nearby Charlotte is another fun stop, with local favorites such as Country View Market, known for its deli, baked goods, bulk foods, Amish and Mennonite goods, and unique gifts, as well as Sweet Charlotte, a nostalgic stop for candy, treats, gifts, and more.

The Country Penthouse also makes a comfortable home base for exploring more of Middle Tennessee. Nashville is approximately 45 minutes away, making a day or evening in Music City an easy addition to your stay. Clarksville and historic Franklin are also within driving distance for day trips, offering even more shopping, dining, history, entertainment, and sightseeing.

Prefer to stay closer to the countryside? Explore scenic backroads, local wineries and vineyards, historic sites, charming small towns, and outdoor recreation throughout the surrounding area. Montgomery Bell State Park is another nearby favorite for guests who enjoy hiking, nature, and the outdoors.

Whether you're here to visit family, explore Middle Tennessee, enjoy a weekend getaway, or simply slow down for a few days, the Country Penthouse gives you the best of both worlds—a peaceful country retreat with plenty to see and do nearby.

The Space

The Country Penthouse occupies the entire second level of our private residence and has its own dedicated outdoor entrance. The space is exclusively for you and your registered guests, and we will not enter the Penthouse during your stay.

Please note: The Country Penthouse is located on the second level and is accessible by an outdoor staircase. There is no elevator, so guests must be comfortable climbing stairs to enter and exit the unit.

Sleeping Area

The bedroom area features a comfortable pillow-top queen bed with two nightstands, two lamps with USB charging ports, and a ceiling fan. On the adjacent side of the room, you'll find a twin bed, chest of drawers, and chair.

Living Area & Refreshment Station

The living room features a loveseat, storage ottoman with flip top, accent chair, end table, and lamp with a USB charging port. A beautifully repurposed armoire houses an adjustable mounted Smart TV and a convenient refreshment station with:

Coffee maker with coffee, creamer, sweeteners, cups, and stirrers
Mini refrigerator
Microwave
Paper plates and plasticware
Toaster, stored in the walk-in closet when not in use

The Country Penthouse does not have a full kitchen or cooking facilities. There is no kitchen sink, stove, cooktop, or oven. The mini refrigerator does not have a freezer or ice maker. The setup is ideal for drinks, snacks, takeout, and simple items that can be prepared with the microwave or toaster.

A dining/workspace with two chairs is located next to the living area.

The private balcony is just off the living room and fills the space with natural light during the day.

Walk-In Closet

A small walk-in closet next to the balcony provides hanging space and storage for your clothing and belongings, with plenty of hangers provided.

You'll also find several convenient items available for use during your stay, including:

Iron and ironing board
Oscillating fan
Collapsible dish-drying rack
Extra paper towels and toilet paper
Extra trash bags for the main and bathroom trash cans
Bathroom

The bathroom features a stand-up tiled shower, vanity sink with storage drawers, towels, a small hair dryer, and a selection of essential toiletries.

Your Private Outdoor Spaces

Guests have exclusive use of the Country Penthouse, its private entrance, deck, and balcony.

We kindly ask guests to respect the lower deck, carport, and workshop as our family's private areas.

Trash

If you accumulate trash during your stay, two large trash bins are located under the carport. You'll pass them on your right as you walk from the Country Penthouse toward your designated parking spot. Please feel free to place bagged trash in either bin as needed throughout your stay.

Things to Note

This is a private residence, and only guests listed on the reservation are permitted on the property.

No loud music or parties are allowed. The Country Penthouse is located above our living area. We do our best to keep noise to a minimum, but much like a hotel, there may occasionally be times when you hear us and we hear you.

Meet Lucy! We have a sweet and lovable black Lab named Lucy who shares the property with us. She is an indoor/outdoor dog and is frequently outside roaming the property, playing, or relaxing on the back porch, so you will likely see her during your stay. Lucy is an older girl and a big teddy bear at heart, although she still gets excited and thinks she’s a puppy sometimes! She loves meeting new people and may bark excitedly when guests arrive—usually while enthusiastically wagging her tail. She does not jump on guests; she’s simply excited to say hello and welcome you to the property!

NO SMOKING is permitted inside the Country Penthouse or on the private balcony or deck. If you would like to smoke, please do so ONLY by your vehicle and dispose of cigarette butts appropriately.
