"We had a wonderful stay at Barb & Butch's beautiful guest house. It is located conveniently close to Madison but is in a quiet suburban area surrounded by a peaceful neighborhood. The house is absolutely spotless and in perfect condition. Kitchen is stocked with coffee, spices and basics and nothing is missing. Full laundry room (we didn't use in our short visit), easy parking, comfortable beds, cable TV, great neighborhood for a stroll with friendly neighbors. Would recommend for your next stay...

"Good: updated facility that was relatively clean except for old carpet and materials being removed. It is a good location and in a quiet area. Bad: We specifically chose this facility because they offered breakfast. The breakfast area was not attended two both mornings we wanted to eat there. On the first morning we had to ask someone to check the food as some items were out such as cooked eggs. We then had to wait 20 minutes for them to be placed in the buffet. The second morning there was no hot food and we asked the front desk if it was going to be replenished. They informed us that the staff that provides the cooked food did not come in!"

"Book literally anywhere else. This location is a dump. My bar was low and they brought a shovel. There was debris all over the hallways, reeked of cigarette smoke to the point my throat hurt, front desk worker was rude to his coworker and myself at check in. Had two beds and one wasn’t even made but had plenty of stains, lamps didn’t have a cover, AC unit was falling out of the wall, smoke alarm clearly tampered with and also falling off the wall. Unless you’re really down bad, avoid at all cost."

"There was mold on the shower walls and shower curtain. The ceiling had water stains with paint peeling. The pool is a nice size for many kids to play at but overall the hotel is run down and needs a refresh. The beds were super lumpy. But the courtyard was super fun and had a little bit of everything for the kids and adults. There is no microwave in the rooms, just a tiny one in the welcome area. Bring s’mores stuff if you’d like to have some with the fire pit!"
