“I'll start with the good. Pension Iturrizza is in a superb location in San Sebastian's Old Town. It's on a quiet side street near a church, very close to excellent dining (which is everywhere) and steps from the dock, beach and aquarium. It's hard to imagine finding something so convenient for what is a very good price. If all you want is a place to drop your bags and have a place to sleep, go for it. You probably won't be disappointed. Unfortunately, I can't give more than three stars for two……

“We stayed here for two nights as a couple. The location was excellent and the room was clean, which we appreciated. However, there were several issues that would prevent us from staying here again. The biggest drawback was the lack of air conditioning. There was only a fan, which was simply not adequate given the climate and time of year, making the room very uncomfortable. Another issue is that the property appears to be a flat that has been divided into multiple rooms. The soundproofing is……

“The staff was really good but bear in mind that the reception only operated in certain hours and must inform the host if you’ll arrive early. The shower was not the best as the water splashes out easily since there’s no door. Location is amazing.”
