Great spot for our family

Cabin was small but surprisingly roomy and comfortable, with lake access and an easy walk to the ice cream shop.

Nice place to stay

Everything about the experience was nice and easy. The house was cute and had everything we needed to make the stay nice and memories were made. Location is in walkable distance of dinner and play areas. Will definitely keep this place in mind when we return.

Very cute, cozy little cottage! We were impressed with how clean it was and how stocked the place was with towels, extra blankets, cooking utensils, etc. Would definitely return!

Wedding weekend

My husband and I came into town to celebrate a wedding. The cabin was very quaint. We were located near the wedding venue. We enjoyed the accomodations very much. We would love to come back and spend more time on the lake.

A nice stay

A quaint little cottage in a quiet little area. Clean and charming. The bed was very comfortable. I was here for business, in late and out early during my stay. I wish I could have enjoyed it more...and will return to do so! Thank you for your patience with me with my extension issue! Very communicative and helpful!

Cozy place to stay!

I like the cottage. It was clean and cute and I had a wonderful time. The only thing is that the heater sometimes works loudly, but I sleep deeply so it does not bother me. I really recommend this place!

Perfect size place for a couple people to stay a few nights. Had all the basics needed The unit is a little older but very clean. Bed was comfortable Will definitely stay in these units again

Nice Cottage

Enjoyed our stay. Convenient to local restaurants and attractions. Very clean. Easy access and check in/check out. Kitchen supplies are a little sparce. No mixing bowls or pots for stove top. Made meal prep a little difficult. Have to step up into the shower and no place to put toiletries. Enjoyed our walks around the lake and through the neighborhood. Very quiet and peaceful area.

Pics were a little deceiving regarding the view of the lake. Was not expecting an atleast 6 foot privacy fence behind the cottage obstructing our view.

Perfect retreat

My husband and I needed a little getaway after a strenuous week and we couldn’t have found ourselves in a better spot. The cottage was so cozy and inviting. It was a perfect amount of space and had such a nice charming feel to it. The location was great, adjacent to beautiful, lakes, and adorable, restaurants, etc.… Our host checked in with us and was there if we needed anything but otherwise left us on our own. It was a wonderful stay, and we definitely plan to go back!

Cute Cottage

The cottage was in a great location for the wedding I was attending, and I appreciated the quiet, peaceful atmosphere. Communication with the host was excellent, and I also enjoyed the complimentary Keurig coffee—such a nice touch.There were a few areas that could use improvement. The space was clean primarily, but there were cobwebs and some dust in the bathroom that could use more attention. I didn’t use the bed, but the sleeper sofa was worn and uncomfortable. I also hoped to cook during my stay, but the kitchen had only a small saucepan and no other pots or pans, making it complicated.Lastly, I was surprised by an extra guest fee when booking four guests, even though the listing indicated that four were allowed. It was still more affordable than nearby hotels, but clearer expectations around amenities and fees would improve the experience.All in all, a decent stay with some nice touches, but there’s room for improvement in comfort and clarity.

Overall nice place to stay

Came here for a getaway weekend. Overall unit 4 was nice for just the two of us. The unit could use a deep cleaning. The drop leaf table was very dirty on the part where the leaf folds down. It was a beautiful setting so close to the lakes. Would probably pick another unit though to stay in next time.

We had a great time while we were in the area loving all the FALL beautiful colors. We made a trip to the lighthouses in St. Joseph, the carousel, and shopping downtown St. Joseph!! We visited the Old Rugged Cross Church too!! If you want a great local Michigan beer, check out Sister Lake Brewing Co.!! Sage’s place was beautiful, and comfortable! Clean too… perfect tv’s to catch the Ohio State Game. There is a Keurig for morning coffee, and coffee provided.

Sister Lake Cottage #4

My kids and grandkids rented a cottage just down the street from my unit I rented. It was the perfect size for me. I was able to be within walking distance from my family. It was perfect! The cottage had everything I needed for my stay. The porch was a nice area to sit and read, etc. The unit was clean and all appliances worked well. I would definitely recommend and hope to return again next summer!

Poor maintenance

Our cottage was not in the best condition with paint staining in kitchen and bathroom, loose electrical outlet, floor sloping etc. Large white fence at back of property won’t allow you to see water. The website looked much better than the cabin!

Excellent lakeside cottage experience!

My sister and her family and I stayed the week in this cabin, and spent days at the lake and mornings and evenings at this cottage. It was the perfect place for what we needed. My two critiques were that there needed to be more prompt and clear check-in and check-out instructions, and that there should really be more than two sets of linens in the cabin. I didn’t get the code for the cabin and the welcome info text until well after 4:30pm, and my sister and young family arrived first at 3:45pm and had to sit outside until we received the welcome text and code. Otherwise, we were so happy with our experience. We loved that there’s a laundry building on-site. Everything was clean and easy to find. We would love to come back next July!

Yikes!

NO water view as pictured, bathroom is gross and moldy with no place to put anything! Had to ask for an extension cord to use the lamp in the bedroom. Went to use the pans (unsafe with rusty surface) and no matches to light the stove. I had to change the bedding because it smelled so bad!

Great Little Cottage in Great Location

Cute cottage. Very clean. Nicely decorated. Small but enough room for a couple. Great location. Can walk to nearby ice cream shoppe, restaurants, etc. Convenient for us as we were going to nearby family and friends’ places. The management company was very nice. We had to modify our initial departure date after the airline changed our flight and they accommodated us. I loved the place! The only downside was the lack of adequate towels. We stayed for seven nights and were only given one bath towel and one washcloth each and had to share a hand towel. Asked for more and was told they would see if housekeeping could bring us some but never got them. Luckily a nearby friend lent us some additional towels. I would suggest that if you are driving there bring extra towels if staying for more than a couple of days. A suggestion for the management is to put either a small bench or shelves in the bathroom to hold toiletries. While I was there I ended up putting one of the kitchen chairs in the bathroom for that purpose. All in all a great place and I would definitely rent it again!
