"We always wanted to stay here and now we have! The views and campus were absolutely beautiful and the food was delicious. The room was quaint but not sure worth the luxury price. Air conditioner was a little loud which I guess helped quiet the talking at the bar since our room was close to it. Ice machine was outside and there is no elevator if you are older and need that. (My husband and I were ok on the second look though.) Overall we had a really good time … just don’t know if we’d pay the high nightly rate again…and the rates were probably even discounted right now because of the Mountain Parkway not being all the way open."

"Our stay was amazing. It was exactly what we needed so everyone had a space. The house has so many vintage touches all throughout. The host was great and was easy to communicate with. We went into Asheville two days that we were there. It is a little bit of a drive (about 40 minutes to drive to the Biltmore), but it was easy to get back and forth. We went into Burnsville one night to eat at the Garden Deli. It was delicious. I would highly recommend this little gem to anyone looking for an out of the way place to stay and relax."

"Bear’s Den was everything we hoped for with more charm than we imagined. You’re 100y away from a thundering creek that soothes you the second you hear it. You’re a 50 foot walk from a tiny creek near the fireplace. The setting for the hot tub is perfect and very relaxing. 10/10 would recommend!"
