Great family getaway

It was a great place on the lake! Our stay wasn’t during lake weather so the hot tub was a perfect alternative. We had plenty of space for everyone and the kitchen was well stocked with any meals we wanted to prepare. Overall we had a great time!

Wonderful Birthday Celebration and Quality Family Time!

We celebrated birthdays with family by boating, wine tasting, and visiting area shops and restaurants. The house was perfect, beautiful views of the lake, and great weather. We ate, drank, and laughed as we made memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you! We will be back!

Almost perfect

We spent 4 nights at this property. We found it quite comfortable with a few caveats. The home is spacious and the outdoor deck is great. The lower level is lovely with an area for sitting out in the evening. What we found disappointing was the actual beach area which had been described as swimmable in the listing. We found the beach very rocky and difficult to manage even with water shoes. The dock does not have a ladder so was not helpful. We were able to drive to friend’s home and enjoy their beach or the trip would have been a total bust as we all wanted to swim. We had one issue with a bathroom sink that was completely plugged when we arrived. The management sent someone immediately to fix the problem. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. We did have trouble with the refrigerator-the bar on the door kept falling off so one shelf of the door was not usable. Also, the refrigerator froze our produce. We liked the area as it was very quiet and walkable. Great house for a wine trail get away!

Moldy, musty home

The second we opened the door, we were hit with a musty, moldy smell. The whole house had to be aired out. I was down with a migraine the entire first evening we were there and could barely function. My friend was having allergy and asthma symptoms within minutes. The next morning, we all had complained about how squeeky the beds were, it was keeping everyone up listening to each other moving. The next morning, I took picture of black mold on the bathroom windows, mold spots forming on the dining room ceiling and then saw there must have been water damage because the entire living room has been recently drywalled and spackled, it hadn't even been sanded and painted yet. The bunk room was the most mysty smelling, i couldnt imagine letting my child sleep in there. The price you pay to rent this house on top of all of the paperwork and insurance that had to be purchased did not match up with the condition of this house.

Cute house

Cute house with decent beds. Bathrooms are super small but not an issue. We couldn’t have a fire outside because they don’t allow access to outside chairs until mid May. Make sure to bring your own hairdryers, tin foil, hand soap for bathrooms. Hot tub wasn’t clean or ready for use but that may be seasonal also. We had a fun time!

Pretty location!

Beautiful cabin and location. The pictures are a bit outdated actually, we were pleasantly surprised that things seemed more modern than the listing portrayed. Easy check in / check out. Only issues we ran into were the parking restrictions and weren’t notified of the additional parking across the street until right before we arrived. Would have been nice to know prior. The beds aren’t very comfortable and we could have used a few more toiletries. Otherwise, we had a lovely time and would stay again!

Nice house. Second time we’ve stayed there (12/20). Easy access to wineries. Plenty of room for ten adults. Amenities were good. We would stay there again.One negative; there were some ants in the kitchen on a counter and on the floor. Not a lot, but noticeable.

Perfect Spot for Celebration

We had a family get-together to celebrate 3 milestone birthdays (our party had people from aged 28 to 80) This was the perfect location so that people flying into Rochester didnt have to travel too far, but we were not far from Corning, Ithica or Watkins Glen where there was activities we wanted to do. Loved the house and the area

nice basecamp for The eclipse and Lake Seneca

had a great time… watch out for the dock with rusted through posts (It’s noted in the instructions).. might not be good if you wanted it for a boat. Hot tub was well used by all.. fun time!

Cozy Cottage

This cottage was absolutely perfect for our girls’ getaway. It was spacious and had a beautiful lake view. The house was well stocked with lots of fun games and plenty of kitchen items. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Quick weekend

We stayed at Winey Duck Cottage for a weekend in March, so it was off-season which made it feel private. The property is fantastic! I would like to visit during the summer when we can take advantage of water activities. We would definitely stay there again.

Couples get away

3 couples; two with four legged kids and one with a two year old. Cottage was welcoming, the location off the road but still convenient to everything, the views incredible. The hot tub was a welcome attraction after a day hiking in Watkins Glen or sipping wines and brews on the way to Geneva. Built in wooden gates inside were a big plus to keep a busy toddler away from stairs.

Wonderful Stay on the lake

Perfect place for our wine weekend at the lake. Plenty of space for all of us. We had reached out due to not being able to find a light around the hot tub (there isn’t one) - the company was absolutely wonderful. They not only got back to us quickly but dropped off lights for use around the hot tub! Would definitely stay here again!

Winey Duck Weekend

A very comfortable house for our group of 8 visiting for a winery tour weekend. It's right on the lake with nice deck to watch the beautiful sunrise. The kitchen was well supplied and the house was very clean. Would stay definitely stay again.

Not too hard to take

The property was clean and comfortable. 4 bedrooms plus the den with a futon and 3 baths ! One neighbor to the south? was less than friendly but the other neighbors were great. Access to the lake was lovely but for sure bring water shoes. The hot tub was a plus; I needed to hose down the back patio but it was very nice.
