“Cottage lovely and warm when we arrived. Could not get our heads around the wood burn. Bed is a touch low and bottom frame and drawers under bed likely to cause serious damage to toes and feet. Was very cosy.”

“Great location, quiet and scenic view. Great communication by the host - happy to help.”

“We had an excellent stay here. The facilities are great. Only issues are relatively small room relative to the bed in one of the three rooms and a road on the doorstep that has fast vehicles.”

“This was a short holiday for my husband and me, and our adult children. We had cosy fires every evening and some nice meals in the dining room and the area. Plenty of walks, plenty of shops in Penrith for buying supplies. Very clean and well equipped cottage. Thoughtfully decorated. Very quiet area. We will be back I am sure.”

“This was a beautifully maintained property and the description undersells just how nice this place is. I only wish I could have spent more time there.”

“Great for a weekend break, good location for walking or travelling to see other places.”

“The accommodation was very impressive, extremely well equipped and immaculately clean with lovely extra's of snacks and freshly baked bread. The Alexa system was so easy to use and the shower was lovely. The only downside was that the deposit taken the day before arrival was more than the booking, so looking forward to getting that back a.s.a.p. and the twin beds were a bit smaller than a normal single bed. I would highly recommend this property to others as it is high quality accommodation.”

“It was very good. Lovely location, easy commute, very clean and nice scenery from front of house. Recommended for anyone.”

“The house was everything we needed, opposite a pub and the swimming pool. The villagers were very friendly and helpfull, especially in the swimming pool. Unfortunately the internet stopped working on the third day but the rental company responded out of hours to help sort it out..”

“A lovely old spacious property with a stunning modern kitchen with plenty of utensils to cater for everyone. Enough space for everyone to relax at nights. The house was lovely and warm to return to after our chilly November walks. Plenty of bathrooms.A great home for our family celebration.”

“A unique and beautiful boathouse. Stunning scenery to enjoy from the veranda. Property delivered to an exceptional standard. Fabulous location for the lake, local walks, villages, pubs, and restaurants. We booked for a special occasion, and certainly were not disappointed. Thank you ❤️”

“Perfect stay for our holiday, great location for accessing both pennines and dales. House was great, really well kitted out and comfortable. Host was amazing, perfect comms, and immediate replies when we contacted her. Would happily recommend, and stay again if we return to the area.”
