“Staff very friendly and nice ! Wonderful”

“We had a 5 night stay at the Ballymascanlon and we had a great stay. Our room 230 was spacious and quiet, the facilities in the room were good and maybe a fridge would be the icing on the cake. In the hot weather we were provided with a fan. Plenty of tea and coffee facilities available, with 2 bottles of water left daily. A widescreen TV in the room with plenty of channels. The bathroom came with good quality Body Wash, Shampoo and Conditioner. Good quality towels. The rate included……

“The Edwardian experience like no other! Excellent breakfast, cooked for you from the menu. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean room and hospitality tray. Room needed re wall papering and the shower was just warm enough but the water from the basin tap was very hot. Petrol station across the road with shop. Great pub across the road and walking distance to town. ”

“This is a great place to stay with a pub close by owned by the same family. The lodges are beautifully designed and well furnished. The main bedroom is very spacious with a generously sized bed; the bed settee was also used during our stay and made for a very comfortable night’s sleep. The host was very welcoming and friendly and we enjoyed visiting the pub whilst we were there. It’s an easy drive to either Newry (where we were visiting family) or Carlingford and the Greenway. “This accommodation is set amongst the beautiful countryside so you wake up to outstanding views, peace and quiet. The proprietor is warm and friendly...very helpful and makes a fantastic breakfast. We used it as a base to explore the local area. It is ideal for that. Those with limited mobility can be accommodated on the ground floor, however, please note, it is not fully wheelchair accessible. Our only downside was the patchy WiFi signal, but based on the location, this was unavoidable. Thank……
