“The Royal Oak Inn is situated in a lovely area. It was easy for us to park. On arrival which was somewhat late, there was no one to look after us. I got the attention of someone in the kitchen who alerted the manager. We were given our room key and on arrival in the room I noticed that there was quite a bit of hair in the sink and some in the bathtub as well. I mentioned it to the manager and when we returned to our room after dinner, which was delicious, the hair in the sink was gone. The……

“Nice position above the town and for exploring the local area. Expect to be challenged by the odd hill or two but you are rewarded by fantastic views. The deluxe studio was small and well equipped but not really “deluxe”. If you moderate your expectations this place provides everything you need for a stay in the area.”

“All the staff were happy, helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room had a fantastic view over Lynmouth and sea. Everything was spotlessly clean. Nancy & Paddy are very welcoming hosts on hand to offer local knowledge on the best pubs to visit, walks to take or supply any small thing you may have forgotten.
