Great experience

We loved the condo it was beautiful. It did not have an ac but we found a fan and slept with the windows open. The only complaint, they were doing construction all week. We woke up to heavy machinery running early every morning.

Great pet friendly vacation home!

Even better in person than in its pictures! Very comfortable attractive home with balconies on both floors. Quiet neighborhood. Clean & well kept, everything worked. Well stocked with dishes & cookware. We enjoyed walking our dogs around the lake. Halfway in between Durango & Silverton, there was a lot to do in both places. We'd be happy to stay here again!

Black Bear Beautiful

Wonderful well-appointed and set-up condo. Love that it is the 2nd street up from the highway (more quiet, although there is construction across Tourmaline). Little amenity kits were nice/thouhtful. Close to hikes (Purgatory Creek is two blocks down, and managed running path around the pond. Lot's of wildlife viewing in July - muskrats, ducks and ducklings, snakes, horned-lizards, many bird species, elk, deer, and bear. Striking distance to Molas Pass & lakes, and to Silverton. Much to do at Purgatory if you want a more "urban" experience. Great place to stay.

Pretty good but not perfect

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the condo is very nice and the kitchen came well stocked. However when we got there the furnace was off I had to figure out or we would have froze the 1st night. The main fireplace also didn’t stay on so I kept having to restart the pilot light, sometimes 3 or 4 times just to get it to stay on. The wireless network didn’t exist either so we had to call the cable guy who told us it had reverted back to its original settings due to a power outage. Like I said, a little too much work for me on vacation. Also make sure you ask about paying the fee to use the amenities at Purg because nobody ever told me that was an option. We would’ve used the hot tub and gym had we known we could’ve paid for that option.

Explosives were used for several days with no warning.

We loved the area & view. It was furnished quite well. It was a bit warmer than expected & would have liked to have had air conditioning, but understood it isn’t usually common to be that warm & to require it. We enjoyed our stay. 😊

Great time in Purgatory

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was brand new and we had everything we needed. The transportation system was really efficient. It was simple to get around. The hot tubs are a transfer away, but the master bathroom has an awesome jetted tub so that did the trick. Purgatory in general is a great value. The newly renovated hot springs are a short drive from the property and they are wonderful.

New Years delight!

We enjoyed spending five days at this property over New Years. The property was well kept, convenient and overall a great place for the six of us to stay. The snow was heavy so the free shuttle to/from Purgatory was great. It was the easiest way to travel. A few bummers...the trundle bedroom was quite small and the "hard water" causes a film on the dishes after each wash. A water softener throughout would be ideal. The pillows were a bit used and fairly thin...not much option. Otherwise, we have zero complaints and would definitely stay there again. Thanks for a great week.

It was good

No places to eat. 35 min to Durango. Every place we called was closed. There wasn't a good view from the deck. The dish washer needs to be cleaned. The dishes and silverware had to much calcium build up. Other then that it was a nice place to stay. The house was cozy.
