Convenient location

Had a great experience and enjoyed the New Year festivities from our Balcony. Resort staff were professional and courteous, we felt welcomed and assured assistance for any needs. The unit had all the amenities listed.

Best Condo for large gatherings

This property was perfect for our large family gathering. Everyone fit perfect! Loved walking out and right to the lift each morning. Kids loved the pool and slide. Heated parking garage with space for our two suvs was the perfect addition.

Grrat place for family vacation!

Stay where the action is! Perfect location at the base of the mountain and overlooking the plaza. Sit on your balcony and read, while watching mountain bikers zoom across the trails. We had grandparents on the lift to see the views, teens on bikes bumping down runs, preteens on the roller coaster and bobsled. And when it rained, everyone was in the game room playing pool! Oh- and after the activities, take a dip in the pool or sit in the hot tub! The location of this condo, in that building, makes this all possible.

Great Condo at Purgatory Lodge

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo in the main lodge at Purgatory was a wonderful choice for our family ski vacation. The condo is in great condition and well taken care of. The beds were comfortable and the location is hard to beat. We were able to just take the elevator down and walk right out on the slopes. The kitchen had everything we needed including a crockpot! We would stay here again!!

Great thxgiving getaway

We loved this unit! It had so much space for our group of 9! Having 4 bathrooms was a dream and the kitchen was well stocked and had lots of space to prepare meals! We absolutely loved the views out the windows! Everything was really clean and exceeded our expectations! Thank you!

Two suggestions that would help for older visitors: Install grab bars in the bathrooms with tubs; increase the lighting in all rooms. Great condo - poor policy

Great location; perfect condo for family. We drove a full day to arrive early. Wouldn’t allow access till EXACTLY 4:00. Reception said it was due to VRBO policy. Very irritating. But condo is great!

The condo faces Engineer on one side and the plaza on the other. The deck overlooks the plaza which was fun and not noisy at all. There were 7 of us and we fit very comfortably. The staff at Purgatory Lodge was great. Tyler at the front desk was exceptional. Will plan to return.

Enjoy activities, amenities at the base of Purgartoy Mountain

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There's something for everyone in and around Durango and especially at the base of Purgatory Ski Resort. Staying in the resort facilities makes you a member of the "club" and opens the door to all kinds of fun activities for everyone in the family from a fitness center, pool and hot tub to a zip line, ropes course and panning for minerals. Our condo was perfect for a group of 6 adults and 4 active boys. After a day of exploring, they could take off for a game of pool, or a dive into the pool. It's a great place for a family vacation!

Excellent Purg Resort Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Purgatory Resort many times. This 4 bedroom suite was perfect to host a multifamily unit. There were two immaculate king masters and one bedroom with a queen bed and another with two bunkbeds with a shared bathroom. Balcony views were towards the quad. This is at the MAIN resort. On the smaller side for living space, but our family didn't mind. Truly ski in ski out location. We had covered parking. We would absolutely stay again!

Amazing location for a winter holiday

Reviewer Comments: Condo 302 in Purgatory Lodge has more than enough space to sleep 10 people comfortably (4 bunk beds, 2 queens, and 1 king) in large rooms with ample closet/dresser space for bulky winter clothing. Excellent condition, beautiful views, and best part: such easy access to the slopes (simply take the elevator to the 1st floor and walk out to the base of the mountain - no stairs required). Private ski locker at the base of the slopes for easy overnight storage, heated pool and large hot tub. Access to the Durango Mountain Club for entertainment, private bar/restaurant. We'd definitely stay here again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the perfect lodge for us and our friends who have smaller kids. The unit was very big with spacious room so we weren't walking all over each other. Everything we needed was in the room and it was very clean. The resort itself was also very clean and organized. The kids enjoyed the rides, but the only suggestion I have is to buy a morning and an afternoon session for the rides because if it is busy you may not even get to ride each ride once and that was a real bummer. Great rides though and a great vacation spot! Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Views/ Terrible Customer Service

The unit was perfect, but we were very disappointed with the service at check-in. Elevators were not working and we were told to carry all of our luggage up four flights of stairs. No assistance was offered and the man at the front desk was incredibly rude during the process. Elevators were not working until the following day. This kept some members of our group unable to leave the unit due to the struggle of climbing four flights of stairs.

2023 Ski Trip

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Other than the check-in experience, the stay was great. Location was perfect, the condo was perfect for 8 people and it was clean and well stocked with linens and kitchen supplies. Check-in was a fiasco! The people at the front desk was new, they claimed they received the wrong information from Vrbo concerning our lodging and kept sending me to the building next door. I knew this was not correct, but they were intent that they were correct. I finally had to get a representative from Vrbo on the phone with them to tell them they were incorrect. It finally got straightened out and we were placed in the condo I had reserved...I was pretty worried this would not be the case. Several other people trying to check-in at the same time were having the same issues. Once all that was settled, the accommodations couldn't have been any more perfect!

Family Vacation in the Mountains

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit 302 was perfect. The location is at the corner of the lodge and has a spectacular view of the needles mountains on one side and overlooks the plaza from the covered deck on the other side. We were a family of 7, and found that the layout was just great... all on one level with 4 bedrooms, 3-1/2 baths, there was room to get away for a little private time. Though the description says “10 people” you would be hard pressed to fit that many people in the living/dining area (which is somewhat small). The kitchen is very well stocked with plenty of dishes,cookware silver,etc. The only downside is that the dishwasher did not clean the dishes...we ended up washing everything by hand...owner should probably replace the dishwasher. Parking is horrible...tho it says two spaces, these are tandem, and once you pull in to the spaces, they are so close that you cannot open the door to get out. (This is a lodge issue, not the a ‘unit’ issue). The lodge common areas were tired, and not well cleaned. There’s only one restaurant (paradise pizza) open during weekdays in the evening, (excellent pizza!) and the little (mini) convenience store closes early. Purg is suffering from lack of workers (like everywhere).. Overall, we would come back, and would request this unit.
