Great 3 bedroom home

Very private. Close to food, and a sandy beach in Barnstable that was good for a young child. Heritage Museum close with a carousel and great walking.

Lovely stay

This rental was the perfect spot for us. The way this house is laid out makes it feel cozy yet spacious. Inviting kitchen and dining area. I short drive/walk to the most beautiful beach area in Barnstable.

Great early winter escape

Clean quiet and well-equipped home located within short drive to lovely beach and walking trails. Restaurants, grocery and shopping less than 10 minutes away. Enjoyed company of our two Portuguese water dogs who settled in quickly and loved daily walks on the beach.

Great location!

The house is comfortable, with simple furnishings and plenty of dishes and cookware in the kitchen. It is walking distance to the gate at Sandy Neck, so I would imagine it would be fantastic in the summer (we were there at Christmas). It was perfectly situated for us to use as a base for visiting family on the upper and midcape. And it's a dog friendly house; it was a pleasant surprise to see that the yard is fully fenced! It was a good stay!

Great Getaway

I liked the design of the house with bedrooms upstairs for more privacy. Also the fenced in yard which my dog lived. The barbecue was used often and it was close to the beach. We had good weather and enjoyed the beach daily. Thank you

Beach getaway

Super cute house that was comfortable for my family of 5. Nice walk to the beach or a short bike ride. Sandy Neck Beach is great. Loved spending time there no matter what time of day. Did a bonfire one night, able to walk the dog in designated areas in the morning and evening, and have him there with us during the day too. Appreciate being able to have the dog at the house too. Kitchen had mostly everything we needed and the grill was nice. Outdoor shower was amazing. Quiet street with friendly neighbors too.

Beautiful spot!

We had the best time during our stay here! The house is beautiful and secluded which was great for a girls trip looking for a relaxing vibe. The check-in and out was seamless. The kitchen was stocked with anything we would need, as we cooked most evenings. However, the location is close enough to great restaurants and anything you'd want nearby. The yard, while small, was fenced in should you bring your dog. The outdoor shower was also a great feature that we enjoyed. It is a short and pleasant walk to a wonderful beach that also has off-roading access with appropriate permit. We saw various wildlife on our walk there and at the beach which was fun. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and would look forward to coming back in the future!

Property Needs Maintenance

We rented for 5 nights. Basic cleaning was okay. Home needs maintenance both inside & outside. Stains on furniture, dirty hardwoods, filthy windows & air conditioning vents were unacceptable. The layout of the main floor is great with 2 living rooms, spacious dining room & very nice kitchen. Lighting in the bedrooms was terrible & comforter in the downstairs bedroom was stained.

Cute house, great location, needs some TLC

Cute house, good layout and location. House is old and needs some TLC. Two of the three WINDOW AC units need replacing (old/loud/dirty), at least one twin bed frame needs replacing and house needs to be swept for cobwebs and insects especially in basement. Mosquitoes were terrible, a trimming back of the shrubs could help with this. Would not book again unless the issues I noted were taken care of.

Cape escape

Really well kept and clean. I read reviews complaining about spiders, but there really weren’t any, and the few I did see, were out of the way and doing their job since there were no other bugs! Great fenced in yard. We had planned to bring our aging dog at the time of booking, but she passed away prior to us coming. She would have loved it.Kids loved the tree swing. Very private, but neighbors were friendly when going past. Really close to the beach and a quick drive to the canal and boardwalk. Kitchen was well stocked and furniture was newer and comfortable. (Some cottage rentals are full of uncomfortable wicked couches!) we’d definitely consider coming back next year!

Lovely hideaway

We had a great few days at this escape with our newborn and our dog in tow. The place was ideal for our needs and was a great jumping off point to explore the cape. We had a few small issues but they were promptly addressed and we enjoyed the rest of our stay. We'd love to come back next summer!

Sandwich stay

Great house, comfortable furniture and beds. Quiet neighborhood, nice neighbors. Outside could be maintained more, needed mowing and a few new plantings. Loved the town and the restaurants we ate in and of course the Tree House brewery. We plan to return!
