"Absolutely incredible place. The yurt was perfect and easily fit 5 grown men COMFORTABLY. Facilities were outstanding with warm, clean bathrooms being a very short walk away, the same distance as the outdoor shower. I described my shower there as "A top 5 shower of my life" as it was warm outside, the water was hot and I was surrounded by the breathtaking nature of East Tennessee. "This hotel was perfect. Easy to walk to all major attractions around the city and to dining spots. One major plus was its location to the highway which made it easy to get into the city and out without having a hassle. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful."

"It was so nice having the waterpark on site, the kids loved it. We had the room with the bunk beds for kids and they loved having their own space. I do wish that a few more things were included with the cost of the stay, almost everything to do on site cost extra and adds up fast."

"The water park is half the size of the wilderness. The mattresses were not up to standard for $225 a night. First day could not get a float for the lazy river, and we paid the same rate on Sunday as we did for Saturday and couldn't check in until 3.The sheets were scratchy and the blankets were Motel 6 horrible! The pull out bed had a paper thin "pad" which allowed all the metal to poke you. I had booked a poolside view but didn't receive that. Paying 450 for 2 nights these amenities should have been luxurious. We will go back to The Wilderness next time as they did have them including down blankets for less cost! Also most activities require a pass that is $30 per child so tack on an additional $120. Very disappointed."

"This is a great hotel. Been staying there since it was opened in the 70s. Was glad to see it was refurbished years ago. Rooms are large and beds are comfortable. Climate control worked well. Ample parking. Staff was very attentive. Good location away from the bustle of downtown Gatlinburg but right on the free trolley stop."
