“We had a fantastic stay at Miners Cottage for one night while attending the Eden Sessions. It was absolutely perfect for the four of us. The cottage was spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We were greeted with a lovely welcome food hamper, which was a really thoughtful touch and much appreciated. Communication with our hosts was excellent from start to finish, making everything easy and stress-free. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here……

“Beautiful old world building with lovely rooms, bar the bathroom being upstairs. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good especially the breakfast. Very disappointed that they had a special curry and pint offer where you couldn't have and alternative drink and when we ordered the curry anyway we were charged £20 without the beer wheras it was £15 with the beer!”

“Very comfortable room, nice clean bathroom. The walls are a bit thin though so we could hear other neighbours, although everyone was asleep at night so no problem to sleep at all. The location of the hotel is great, it is a bit out of the town, in the middle of the valley. The garden is amazing and you can walk to the well a bit far down and to the town itself. The breakfast was very generous and varied.”

“Helen and Paul must be two of the nicest and kindest hosts we've met. After a 6 hour drive, to arrive to a cream tea laid out in the apartment was truly a lovely touch. One of the cleanest places we've ever stayed, they'd literally thought of everything you could need. You name it, it was there, potato peeler, sieve, cling film, foil the works. Helen even asked me what milk we drink and made sure there was a pint of semi skimmed in the fridge on arrival.. Thanks Helen. The bed and the sofa were……

“Pros - Free Parking - Near Centre - Swimming Pool - Shower Pressure - Radiator in the Room Cons - Booked 2 x twin rooms but only gave one key card. When we asked and received the second card it blocked access for the original card. This happened for both rooms we booked. - We stayed 4 nights, it's frustrating that you have to request cleaning by 10am for the following day. - When cleaning was requested, they made the bed but did not clean the bathroom or replace the towels. “The cobblestone parking was slightly challenging, and we weren’t expecting to be in a separate building from the inn, but the room was very comfortable and the large window had a great view which brightened up the space. The location was perfect, and the staff was pleasant and helpful. We appreciated that breakfast was included.”
