Let me start out by saying that we rent places in the mountains nearly every weekend and I have never submitted a negative review. This place has a great layout and tons of potential, but the lack of responsiveness from the property managers and the significant errors made by the property managers made it hard for me to even give this home 2 stars (the property management deserved 1 star). To begin with, we were given the wrong code to get into the garage. While often that might not be a big deal, there is NOWHERE else to park. We also had two cars and were never told where we could park the second one. We had our car sitting in front of the place for two hours and the only way we got in was another owner finally gave us the code. The garage is small and if someone had not been coming in, we would not have gotten the car in. We called Vacasa right away and while the woman was nice she did not have any of the correct codes either. It was nearly impossible to get through to them and then she told me I would hear back from someone local within 15 minutes. I never did. In addition to the garage, the heat had apparently been turned completely off. It was a cold night and all 8 of us wore parkas for the night. The heat is radiant so it took about 36 hours to heat the place up and we were there for less than 48 hours. Again, no assistance or answer from Vacasa when we asked for help. In addition to calling, I texted and emailed Vacasa and never got a response. Finally, when Vacasa asked me to review, I initially submitted a private review to them, hoping they would contact me to explain or at least apologize. Not a word!! I am hopeful the owner will see this review and address it directly. We would love to rent the place again, but would think twice if the management does not change.
