Check-in and check-out process is remote and simple. The condo was the perfect amount of space for 2 adults and 1 child. Access to the beach is easy and the wash off hose is convenient. Having a pool as an option when the ocean is too rough is a plus. The condo did not feel clean whatsoever. There was sand on the floor and furniture. Most of the dishes were dirty and had to be scrubbed before using them. There was an unknown hardened liquid under the master bedroom bed. Both bathrooms had mold in the showers and the sink in the hallway bathroom had black chunks hanging from it once it was turned on. Closets and cabinets had a pungent musty smell that was beyond unpleasant. Cabinets were full of things that appeared to have been tossed/thrown in them. The balcony that has a stunning view is covered in staples that need to be removed. Mattress of the bottom bunk sinks terribly in the center. Shower heads make it very difficult to shower to the small stand up showers. Lights in the kitchen, by the sink and under the microwave are burnt out. Our rental had a limit of 4 people (we were a group of 3) but the condo below us had 9 to 13 people depending on the day and even though they were below us, we could hear running and doors slamming nonstop. The condo is in need of some sort of rug by the sliding glass door. Even though our first trip to Emerald Isle was enjoyable- purchasing cleaning supplies to help us get by for the week was not something we were expecting.
