“This is a gr8 place to relax or play a round of golf. The staff are very helpful. The hotel rooms are lovely. They are not huge but have enough room to feel comfortable. There are 2 golf courses here. The Kernow course is a good test of your golf whatever handicap you have. The Nickolas course is the signature course and this will definitely test your golf and patience. There is a gym here but I did not use it. I did however use the health suite which has 2 pools a sauna a steam room and a……

“Two night stay in a seemingly smart hotel with great golfing and spa facilities, However, there are disappointing signs of tiredness including a shower tray with ingrained dirt, and threadbare, ripped sheets. Breakfast in the Charcoa restaurant was excellent and dinner was ok. What sadly lets the hotel down is that the wedding clientele who appear to be the target audience are loud, brash and drunk. If you want to stay in an upmarket hotel for a relaxing stay, be prepared to meet the Love……

“First night ( Saturday night) it was so noisy until midnight:( . Second night is much better. You book 2 nights, they don’t clean your room next day:( Overall it’s good place to stay.”

“So sad to see a what was once probably a lovely hotel now looking very tired and in need of updating. No aircon, marked carpets and tired bathroom. The only plus was the lovely receptionist who was very professional. When we arrived for breakfast, 80% of the tables had dirty plates and cups left and no-one clearing anything away yet there were 3 staff members milling around the bar area. Coffee machine out of order too!”
