“I normally do not write reviews; but, wanted to for this hotel. It is a small quaint hotel. It actually has a small pool and hot tub with incredible views. It is actually located in Vezio right outside of Varenna. At first, I was concerned about the location from Varenna. However, Rita the proprietor made sure we had transportation from the train station as well as to and from all of our points of interest. We seriously wanted for nothing. Rita and the staff made sure all our needs were taken……

“I had an amazing experience at Al Molo 5. The breakfast with a beautiful lake view was truly unforgettable, and the hotel itself is super clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. I recommend coming by car, as there isn’t much within walking distance, but the on-site restaurant is excellent — great food, very romantic atmosphere, and the whole area is quiet and peaceful. Overall, a wonderful place to relax. Highly recommended!”

“Skønt sted! Vi fejrede nytår her og var her kun én nat. Men vi vil utrolig gerne besøge stedet igen og opleve det om sommeren. Stedet er som et slot dog med nye faciliteter som gør oplevelsen helt fantastisk! Der er ikke så mange værelser, så man følger sig taget godt imod af Ariana og de andre medarbejdere, som sørger for fin morgenmad og hvad man ellers kan ønske. Køleskab og dejligt badeværelse, og indretningen føles autentisk.”

“We had a lake-front room and it was so beautiful and comfortable. I loved that they feature a local artist's work in the rooms and common area. I forgot to write down/take a photo of the artist's name, but hopefully someone else will and post - the paintings are fabulous. Breakfast was the best we had during our time in northern Italy. “We rented a one bedroom apt on the first floor. It was very comfortable and well equipped. Easy walking distance from train station. Also very close to ferry. Easy to take ferry to Bellagio and transfer to other stops. Breakfast was great. Excellent service. Rooms are located in buildings around but are very close. We ate at Mama Cicicia one night it was delicious. Also tried Osteria on plaza which was great. Lovely couple with local food.”
