“Es ist ein liebevolles traditionelles Hotel mit aufwendigen Holzdecken und dicken Steinwänden. Es war für eine Nacht eine kleine Zeitreise in die Vergangenheit. Das Hotel liegt mitten in der Altstadt und alles ist fußläufig sehr gut erreichbar. Wir hatten etwas Schwierigkeiten das Parkhaus zu finden, aber der junge Mann vom Hotel hat uns persönlich dorthin gebracht und alles hat reibungslos geklappt. ”

Decor gives you a sense of Albania with dominant wood design as well as modern features. Reception was more of a host than a staff member as he accompanies you to your room to make sure that everything is in order and if you have any questions. High above the modern city, next to castle and the old bazaar, it was not only convenient but an experience of a life from another time. “We loved staying at Amalia’s house. Everything was spotless and cozy, and very peaceful and quiet. The courtyard is beautiful and it’s very easy to access the main areas of Gjirokastra with a quick walk up the hill. We’d love to come stay here again!”

“Very clean comfortable basic hotel near the foot of the main road up to the old town. Ideally located to see both parts of the city. Staff were very helpful with laundry and transport.”

“We were so impressed with this establishment! The woman at the desk was incredibly helpful, even helping us figure out how to make space for everything in our room. We paid for the laundry service and got it back the next morning, all folded and neat for us. She also let us park out front and keep our parking place several hours after we had checked out so that we could tour the Gjirokaster castle. This was invaluable as driving and parking in Gjirokaster is harrowing. Breakfast was included……

“Großes Zimmer, mit gutem Bad, außer dass der Abfluss nicht so richtig funktionierte. Nach dem Duschen stand fast das gesamte Bad unter Wasser. Ist aber dann recht schnell trocken geworden. Sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Gastgeberfamilie, vor allem die Oma (?) des Hauses. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet. Schöner, kleiner Pool, mit ein paar Liegemöglichkeiten. Parkmöglichkeiten vor der Tür, die aber recht schnell voll sind. Parken auf der Straße auch möglich. Wir hatten einen Kamin im Zimmer, der einen……

“Restaurant und Bar waren geschlossen. Die Rezeption war nur notdürftig besetzt. Parkplatz war in einer neuen Tiefgarage, die noch nicht fertiggestellt war. Die Anfahrt war schwierig. Man musste über eine Baustelle zum Eingang gehen, eine Hilfe zum Transport der Koffer wurde nicht angeboten. So nicht!!!!!!!!! ”
