Nice welcome. Ground floor looks great. Bar area and staff good. Bar meal was good with fresh baked bread. Ashley in wellness centre looked after us, very professional. Breakfast was good. Room comfy, no noise, just a little dated for price charged.

Good but could be better

Bar service was brilliant with great choice of drinks. Lovely big room but as soon as we opened the door the room stunk of stale body odour. There were only 2 bath towels which were really old. There were no hand towels. The bathroom needs a vanity mirror - just a suggestion. No air condition but good fan which was needed for the hottest day.

Nice hotel with easy access

It is indeed strange that the evaluations of this hotel are so different. We were met with nothing but kindness, an excellent room, a great breakfast and parking at no extra charge. We shall be back. Only fly in the ointment was the exorbitant charge for renting a robe and slippers if it is desired to use the wellness facilities. This should be possible at a more fair price.

The hotel was fine but very basic. Breakfast was ok but nothing special. The room was cleaned, i think, everyday or at least someone came in everyday but things werent replaced if empty, bed was just put a little straight, towels not replaced.

Avoid if possible

Place is desperate need of renovation, plugs are almost coming out of the wall if you use them. Don't go if you wan to use the pool, it's extra charge and no clothing allowed which isn't explained on the advert. Breakfast was seriously lacking choice The restaurant was good and bar staff were amazing

The hotel looks stunning from outside and in the pictures but dont let that fool you. Its very tired and grubby. The pool ISN"T free to you, its €14.95 for a 1hr pre booked sesion and everyone must be naked! This isnt mentioned anywhere in the property details and is something im not comfortable with personally. The sole purpose of booking this hotel was the pool area, not location as we'd driven down from North Holland and just wanted to relax. The room was grubby, smelt old and musty and generally needed a refresh. The drains was blocked meaning the bathroom floor become soaking from the shower. Overall, not a pleasant stay

Needs to improve

For several reasons I can’t say that I would recommend the room we were given. The carpet was dirty The bedding and pillows stunk of body odour. The bathroom sink did not have a top to put any of my toiletries The sink did not have a sink plug and as a contact lens wearer cleaning my lens was tricky There were no hooks in the bathroom to hang up clothes or items The walk in shower design led to the water going into the bathroom area soaking everything The fan in the room was unbearably loud- needed as it was hot day Hand towels which were there the first day were removed by housekeeping and not replaced so had to use our bath towels after toilet visits. So wouldn’t recommend on this basis However the restaurant was fantastic

Don’t book the breakfast

Stayed before and complained to the management about the lack of decent breakfast. Scrambled egg is either done in microwave or oven but whatever it’s like rock. Told the same manager. Again does nothing. Rooms are so tired and noisy. Alsorts of doggy people here also. Can’t say on here why but find another. Breakfast is €18 and it’s just a simple plate of Luke warm food. Nice staff over priced and over star by at least one.

Our Junior Suite was ok but nothing special and the room was dirty and the carpet was terrible. The bathroom cabinets had cobwebs and dirty splash stains. The mini fridge was totally empty not even a bottle of water would have expected more. The reception made us feel like second class citizens as she asked her colleague what room should she give us as we had booked via Expedia - she didn’t realise I could understand her I am English. I would not stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I made a slight mistake in booking this property as I was feeling unwell at the time (moreover in the middle of a long intercontinental trip) and tried to change the dates within less than 10 minutes of making the reservation. In spite of the intervention by Expedia, the hotel insisted that since the rate was fixed and based on a non-cancellable basis, I had to pay the whole amount. I know the property will insist on that aspect, but I would like prospective clients to understand the mentality of this establishment. There are good (in fact much better) alternatives in Breda, just a few kilometers away. Please consider these before booking this place. I did and was not disappointed. I will never book this place again (although my family lives in this town).

Don't go here. Old smelly rooms that are not properly cleaned. The coffee machine is broken - the hotel employees all know this (because it's the same issue all over the hotel), yet they don't do anything against it. The reception is in most cases exceptional unfriendly. Checking out was a hell. Cleaning personnel already knocking on the door several times an hour in advance! Followed up by a call from the reception and then 5 min after that call the reception employee came up to the hotel room to give the same information again: don't worry, we understood it Karen! NEVER AGAIN!
