Masters Week Rental 20 + years experience in renting for Masters guests 6.5 mi

I have rented my home for 20+ years to golf enthusiasts coming to Augusta for the Masters Tournament. I believe my present home is the best of all my past homes. I have primary King with en suite bathroom, another large bedroom upstairs with king and private bathroom. There are also 2 additional bedrooms, 1 is queen and the other is a double bed. These two bedrooms share a bathroom which has separate vanity/sink area with shower/toilet room. There is also a half bath down the hall from laundry room. I have a large great room with leather sofa and TV and also a den with large TV. Fully stocked kitchen, I will have coffee for you! This house also has a nice deck which has a TV so you can watch hi lights of tournament! The pool is right off the deck, masters week, pool may be cool but that’s ok!! There is also a grill and frig on the deck . All linens are 100% cotton and beds are comfortable. Plenty of towels, etc.,. Only 6.5 miles from course!!

  • Home of Freeman Walker, outstanding citizen of early Georgia. Born in Virginia in 1780, he came to Richmond County in his youth and studied law. Freeman Walker, in 1826, deeded 70 acres of land to the United States Government to be used as an arsenal-the site now of the Junior College of Augusta. He reserved one acre as a family burial ground, known as the Walker Cemetery. He was the father of Maj. Gen. W. H. T. Walker, CSA. Admitted to the bar in 1802, he followed a life of public service; City Attorney for three years and Mayor of Augusta 1817-19, being the first to hold the city´s chief executive office under the name of Mayor, and Brigade Inspector of Gen. Valentine Walker´s brigade in 1813. He represented Richmond County in both branches of the State Legislature and represented Georgia in the U. S. Senate. His speech on the Missouri Compromise attracted nation-wide attention. He died in 1827 and is buried in the Walker Cemetery.
