Exeter Bar Hotel

"Lovely hotel, excellent location. Staff helpful, lift not working on visit, no air con in room. Carpet and curtains worn and damaged, should be replaced but would recommend "

"The hotel is in a very convenient location close to the city centre and cathedral. It is a historic building but we stayed in the fairly modern extension, which was a nice, spacious room with good facilities for tea and coffee etc. Breakfast was plentiful and you could order from a good range of cooked options including full English. Staff were friendly and helpful."

"Managed free overnight parking opposite. Worked well combined with family visit. Had a quiet en-suite room plus a bathtub. What a treat. Offerred lots choices for breakfast - standard cost for all options. All the staff I met were lovely. Very friendly and it felt more like a family business than merely ‘corporate’."

"Did not like room as to small for a double and very noisy as room facing road , also very hot , bathroom had no ventilation .breakfast was half cooked as they were very busy so overall would not stay again in this hotel"

"Found it strange no staff really on site only saw 2 and one member of staff seem to cover everything from booking in doing the key to cleaning the rooms, but very pleasant and helpful. The hotel seems to be under refurbishment as the bar and food area was all locked up. Think there is alot of work to be carried out. At first i thought i was the only one staying there. Good hotel for a base to stay"
