“I stayed in this gorgeous cottage/annex for one month.It is furnished to a very high standard and is probably the nicest place I have ever stayed for comfort, cleanliness and having every imaginable appliance in the kitchen.Everything is done with great care, the welcome hamper full of goodies, fresh flowers on the table., books, magazines, extra towels in the bathroom. “THE BOLTHOLE liegt im Stadtteil Westbrook von Margate und ich würde diesen Teil als "Cottage-Viertel" bezeichnen, denn Margate selbst ist ein, in die Jahre gekommener Badeort der Briten, der leider schon bessere Zeiten erlebt hat. Für Ausflüge nach Canterbury, Dover, Whistable und viele weitere sehenswerte Punkte in Kent ist die Lage aber perfekt. Zur Standpromenade geht man 5 Minuten und von dort sind es ca. 20 Minuten hinein in die Stadt - ein wirklich schöner Spaziergang entlang des……

“Great location and with a parking space albeit very tight to get the car down the lane and we don’t have a large car. House was as described but very basic and just felt like not a lot of thought had gone into the decor and making it homely. Just a couple beach pics on the walls. Outdoors furniture was dirty. TV in the bedroom didn’t work. Bed was small and a bit uncomfortable. Downstairs toilet was dirty. Shower leaked and difficult to get in and out of the bath with the large shower……

“Host cancelled a few hours before check in, after we had already travelled to the location. Absolutely disgusting treatment, they claimed to have double booked the property but how is that possible to only discover that on the day of check in? Owner should be banned from Vrbo”

The apartment is immaculate and very comfortable. The location on the beach front, is accessible to heaps of cafes, restaurants and pubs. I highly recommend Sue and her apartment.”

“This is an excellent property! The host was very communicative and helpful. The property was very clean with good information onsite about the flat and the surrounding area. Great location near to shops, restaurants and the beach. If you are driving, be aware that parking is a bit tricky, but Oliver was very helpful with figuring out options. Our only disappointment is that we weren't able to stay longer!”
