Beautiful property
Banksia Haven is an absolutely beautiful spot. The inlet, lighthouse and ocean view is lovely, as are the bush views out the other windows. The house is comfortable and well provided for. We loved the beautiful oil paintings of ocean and sky throughout. Beds are super comfortable and the kitchen is great. We enjoyed the birdlife and fabulous deck. It was such a great spot to stay with young children too.The only non enjoyable part of our stay was the property management company, Great Ocean Road Holidays. We double checked the "pay 2, stay 3 night" price before booking, but the advertising at the time was extremely misleading. The price was automatically adjusted per night, rather than "pay 2, stay 3". We had no way of knowing this when booking. Paying an extra 30% more than our budget led to a lot of stress, and not the peaceful getaway that was needed. We were not happy with how the situation was handled, and the misleading advertising. No acknowledgement or remediation occurred, nor was any responsibility taken.nce.
