“My wife and I had visited Newport via cruise ship twice in years past and wanted more. We decided to stay a few days April 12-16, 2024. Wanting it to be special, I searched for a nice place to stay. After considering several Inns in the area we selected The Francis Malbone House. WE MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE!!! The inn (House) was perfectly located. Very convenient to shops, restaurants, and local destinations. Easy walking distance to the wharf areas. We rented a car and parked in the provided car……

“Wonderful suite , very clean , cozy and comfortable house . Just need to bring an extra mirror if staying in the suite so everyone can get ready at the same time. ”

It’s located in a very peaceful and tranquil residential area and a 15 minute walk to the wharf shops and other attractions The rooms were all very modern as was the bathroom with a nice size stand up shower and lots of drawer space for a couple Just a delightful place with such friendly hosts We will be back!!!!”

“Clean room. Great breakfast. Good service. Parking is limited especially for large vehicles. Its a 200 year old building so as cool as that is, you must expect it not to be modern inside. It was close to everything to see in Newport so it worked well for me.”

“Lovely stay at Yankee Peddler for two nights while we visited Newport. Easy check-in, cute rooms, front desk were very helpful in resolving our heating issue and on-hand to answer any questions we had. Continental breakfast was standard with cereal options, muffins/pastry, oatmeal and fruit (I'm there for the fruit) and available for a good duration. Rooms could use a new mattress and new sheets (getting a bit old). Can't beat the location as it's a short 4 min walk around the corner to the……

“It was a nicely updated unit in a beautiful old Newport home. The location is a nice neighborhood, conveniently walkable to everything around. The management was very friendly and responsive. All in all, a wonderful stay — we absolutely plan to choose this place again when we’re next in Newport!”

Mulberry House is aesthetically pleasing and Fran, the hostess, really makes her guests feel special, comfortable, and at home. A most enjoyable stay!!”

“The property was great and lots of places to walk my dog. I liked the location, next to the vineyard and easy drive to downtown Newport. My only minor complaint was that I went to the guest services to talk to them about the ants in the kitchen (it rained a lot so I understand ants can happen) and they said they would treat the kitchen that afternoon and they never showed up.”
