A great house for a large party

If you’re a large party looking for a house in the Cotswolds, this is ideal. The property has access across the fields to the river for paddleboarding. There is a sauna on site and a hot tub on the patio.

A simply wonderful stay

We had such a lovely time at Folly View. It’s set in a lovely location, and is really well-laid out. We were a group of families and having such a lovely outside space and open plan inside space was perfect. Can’t fault it.

We really enjoyed our stay at Folly View, everything was very clean and well equipped. The beds could be a little bit comfier but that was a minor issue and the drains at the front of the house need to be cleared as when it rained the drive was full of puddles but all minor! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and communication was great with the team!

Excellent welcome pack, if I hadn’t taken the essentials I would not have had,to worry, everything we would need was at the house. Excellent service.The house is beautifully equipped and very comfortable.

60th Birday Celebrations

Lovely sized and well apppointed accomodation. Good location for us and nice and quiet. Kids enjoyed the garden and football pitch, and RAF flights over! Didnt get a chance to use the Sauna or other facilites but they looked great. Hot tub went down well and outdoor heater was very useful. Cold water dispenser not working but we got round that.

A wonderful house to escape to for the weekend

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for a 30th birthday family celebration at Folly View. Very comfortable, spacious house. Really liked that each room had its own bathroom. The welcome tray was a really lovely gesture.

Fab barn in Cotswolds

We all had a great time at Folly View, everything you could possibly need was provided. Really lovely communal spaces, inside and outside. Comfy beds and good linen. Very clean and decorated to a high standard. We're all tempted to book again!

An amazing property

This beautiful barn conversion was the perfect base for our family holiday, 8 adults, 5 children plus two dogs. It was spacious and comfortable and provided everything that you need-a real home from home. The views are beautiful and the shared barn next door is the perfect place for kids to get together and play ping-ping, table football or just to hang out and make friends. We were also incredibly lucky with the weather ☀️☀️Our kids made a video which you can see on Stay Cotswolds FB page, it shows what a great time we had!

Impossible to rate anything other than excellent on the tick box section !

Folly View was a wonderful place to stay , perfect for a large family with plenty of space and every facility that could be wished for . Although we live in the country , we were struck by the immense peace of the location and such wonderful views all around . For four short days we really were in another world ! The well equipped kitchen made it easy to cater for everyone and we made the most of the BBQ , the hot tub , the games room and even went paddle boarding on the river close by us . Hopefully we can return one day !

A lovely family get together

My daughter came on holiday from Australia so the family got together. We had a wonderful few days despite the weather. Folly View is a beautiful place. Everything so spacious and modern. Very well but equipped. We didn't get to use the hot tub as we didn't have time to light it. But everything else was brilliant. The Cotswolds is a lovely place to travel around too.

60th Birthday Bash

11 friends for a weekend of fun , great food and laughter. Perfect venue. So.much space for all and everyone had their own bathroom ! The hot tub was great, but we couldn't find the full safety instructions. You made need to bring a few basic items with you, we ran out of the small amount of washing up liquid that was left and tea bags for example. Looking forward to another celebration so we can come back to an amazing spot.

A lovely place for a family celebration

We stayed at Folly View to celebrate a big birthday. There were 10 adults, a toddler, a baby and a dog. The accommodation was ideal for us as each bedroom had a bathroom. The living space was also excellent with a big dining table and a lounge with lots of seating. The kitchen contained plenty of the necessary equipment to cook for that number and the necessary cutlery and crockery for us all. We really enjoyed the hot tub, games in the garden, the walk to the river and a birthday barbeque. The welcome pack was lovely and the attention to detail was impressive. It really made the time together special.

Folly view

Overall lovely, clean and comfortable. Some comments though A) Need additional signpost in the lane to get to the property B) the hottub was difficult to operate to get the correct temperature at the time we wanted to use it. An initial set up of the correct amount of wood in the stove would help as would more guidance of how long to leave and how much wood needed before water is at a comfortable temperature C) a couple of the showers were too hot to wash hair in , thermostat couldn't cool water down enough

Good property for a large group

Comfortable large house on the edge of the Cotswolds and near the Thames Path. Burford and Oxford 25 minutes away. Excellent large kitchen/diner which we spent most of our time in. Comfortable beds except for the twin room where beds were a bit soft and headroom tight (slanting roof). Good to have bedrooms on the ground floor although 3 bedrooms have no view ie look onto a garage wall/car port so they are quite dark. Bathrooms all good. Lounge is just about big enough for 12 - seating more comfortable for 10. Lovely views onto big garden. Furnishings are modern and stylish. There were one or two small niggles during our stay which were dealt with promptly.

A wonderful place

The cottage was ideal for all the family. We had all 6 bedrooms filled and everyone had the privilege of their own shower and they all worked well. In fact everything worked well. No problems. We were even left a few goodies like wine and cheese to make us welcome. Thank you. Used the BBQ facilities which were fine. Hot tub is good but not sure always want to light a fire and wait an hour. Great having a games room and had a bit of fun even on a rainy day. Plenty of pubs and restaurants not too far away. Plenty of nice places to visit from around 5 minutes to an hour. A good holiday.

A long weekend in the Cotswolds with the family

There is a definite wow factor when first entering Folly View . Before you is a huge kitchen diner , the kitchen equipped with 3 ovens and 2 dishwashers , a massive dining table making mealtimes a real social affair and a comfy sofa and armchair at one end . Although there is an equally large lounge across the hallway , we lived in this area! The six bedrooms each with bathroom make family living easy and outdoors there is also plenty of seating with a wonderful green space all around , very tranquil , interrupted only by an occasional tractor ! Most mornings we had breakfast outside ! Minimal niggles were that some kitchen things had not been put back clean by previous occupants , in particular the baking trays were very greasy , also crockery was not properly washed in the dishwasher as the rinse aid and salt had not been topped up but this was speedily rectified by our friendly and efficient manager , Caroline , who was always on hand to help . During our stay we rented electric bikes , had a boat trip on the Thames , paddle boarded down to the pub at Radcot and embarked on several activities at Cotswold Lakes besides making use of the hot tub and new sauna . All in all, it was hard to shut the door at the end of our stay !

Beautiful Barn in the Cotswold

Stayed with family for Christmas. The barn is large and spacious with 12 bedrooms all with an ensuite or dedicated bathroom (all with showers or a shower over the bath) which is one of the reasons we chose this property. All rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are modern. This is one large bedroom that has a wet room so ideal for less mobile guests. Kitchen is large and the table is square which is much more sociable than a long table and easily seats 12. Boot room / utility great to keep all the boots and coats and there is an additional fridge which was really useful. There is a hot tub that is heated with logs which we thought might be tricky but it worked really well you just had to set it going an hour or two before you planned to use it. There were additional logs available at a cost if required. The play barn was great with table tennis and the biggest fooseball table we've ever seen! Other barns / houses are in view but didn't hear any noise from anyone else. We had a brilliant family Christmas in this property and would highly recommend it.
