“We brought two of our grandsons ( 9 & 11 ) to the cabin to stay and do a little fishing and playing on the Beach. I would consider it as Glamping. Glamorous camping lol. Grandma and grandpa got comfy beds to sleep in and the grandsons had a blast exploring, fishing Just hanging out at the beach and playing volleyball. It was a win-win for me. This is our 4th Visit to the cabin, but the first time we have ever brought anybody else with us. I thoroughly enjoy having my morning coffee by the fire……

“This is the second time we have stayed there. At Christmas we appreciated the beauty of the house. This time we appreciated the wide porches, beautiful view and wonderful gardens. We have a large family and there always seems to be enough room for everyone.”

“Very clean and well-maintained. Covered parking spot was very convenient. Close to downtown area, restaurants, aquarium, and colleges/ universities”

“The home is nicely furnished. I like that people are able to leave Seasonings and condiments, etc. for the next guests to use. Made meal prep easier. There’s pots and pans and some storage containers for leftovers. We left a bundle of Gatorade’s, Hopefully the next people will enjoy them. It’s on a busy road. Appreciate using the driveway and bringing in luggage through the back door. They allow pets which we would like to bring our dog. Hopefully soon they will have a fenced area. We didn’t use……

“The apartment was lovely and comfortable and in a very cool neighborhood (an easy walk to the warehouse district, which I recommend, the old downtown, and multiple restaurants). It was great being literally upstairs from a coffee shop. Communication with the owner was excellent, parking was easy. We've no hesitation is saying we'll stay here again the next time we find ourselves in Dubuque!”

“Our first VRBO. All went well. Our biggest issue was lack of local tv. (Only streaming) When we travel we like to watch local news and weather. It was very small, but we weren’t in the room much. Just an hour or so before bedtime. Oh, and the bed seemed pretty small. I think it was a queen, but not as big as our queen at home. ? Saturday morning woke up to a farmers market outside our door. We enjoyed it, but maybe not, if you’re a late sleeper. Much chatter. Talked to Ken on our way out one day……

“This property was a very nice representation of the historical houses in the area. The information about the house indicates that the stairs are steep and that is definitely true. If you have bad knees this may not be the house for you. If I want to nitpick the other small complaint wasthe amount of hangers. We only had 5 hangers in our bedroom. All in all the house was great.”
