Cedar Ridge Lodge Near High Bridge Trail

Escape the busy city to peace and quiet! Visit High Bridge Lodge and Cabins located in Farmville, VA. Our cabins are nestled away in a beautiful, private wooded area, and offer easy access to the High Bridge Trail State Park.

Visit Downtown Farmville for a variety of shops and restaurants that are only a short distance from the cabins.

The space
The Cedar Ridge Lodge features three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Couch & Full air mattress available. Central heating and cooling. Fully equipped kitchen. Great Room with wood burning fireplace, wifi,flat screen TV and DVD player. Game table and sitting area in the upstairs loft. Outdoor fire ring with plenty of seating. Gather on the spacious and beautiful wrap around porch, with hot tub , outdoor seating and charcoal grill (guests will need to bring charcoal, lighter fluid, etc). Linens and towels are provided. Bring your own personal items (shampoo, toothpaste etc...) We supply a reasonable amount of trash bags, paper towels, toilet tissue, dish and hand soap. Guests may bring additional supplies if they wish.

We have 27 private wooded acres with access to High Bridge Trail State Park. Great for hiking, biking or horse riding.

Other things to note
AWD/4WD is recommended in the winter months for inclement weather.

Loved this place

The home was clean and had everything. It definitely was a little loud probably due to it being a log cabin? but we had fun and it was right around the corner from Longwood. Liked that it had 2 bedrooms down and 1 bedroom & loft and bath upstairs. Plenty of parking & loved the huge porch & hot tub.

The trail from the cabin was great for biking the high bridge trail. You can go both ways for long rides. High bridge is 1:5 miles from cabin.

Fun Farmville Family Weekend

This cabin was perfect for our family. Very clean and organized. Well appointed kitchen with plenty of supplies for us to cook some meals together. Our girls loved the loft with game table and spending some time in hot tub which was clean and perfect temp even for them. The decor of cabin is cute and welcoming. The fire pit was also a huge hit for roasting marshmallows and making s’mores. The property was quiet even with the neighboring cabin occupied. We still felt alone and peaceful in the woods. Thank you for sharing your property with us!

Weekend getaway

Stayed here for two nights as a peaceful getaway from the Christmas hustle and bustle. The lodge was very clean, the furniture and beds were comfy, and the shower water pressure was great! We used the hot tub the second night (it was still coming up to temperature when we checked on it the first day) and the kids loved that amenity. The only (very minor) negative I could find is that if you’re picky about bed pillows, most of them in the house were pretty flat. I sorted through the extras in the closets to find some better options than were put out for us and still slept ok. I would come back!

Excellent cabin in Farmville

We enjoyed our stay immensely at the cabin. Very comfortable, used the jaquzzi nightly and I traveled the High Line trail daily. Overall, great experience and the owner's communication was impeccable. I definitely recommend this cabin for you and your family.

Beautiful cabin with easy access to High Bridge Trail

I ran a race on the High Bridge Trail, and the trail access was perfect to hike the trail before and after the race. The cabin was cute and comfortable, and the hot tub was perfect after running 50K.

Perfect for hiking or Farmville visit

This cabin is both rustic and simultaneously modern, with everything a family or small group of adults could want. Very private, including the hot tub on the deck, but also just a few-minute drive to downtown Farmville (where we'd recommend the North Street Press Club!). If you take the short access trail to the High Bridge Trail, it's slightly over 3 miles to the left to downtown Farmville, and a little over 2 miles to the right to the High Bridge. We'd definitely stay here again!

Perfect Quiet Getaway

My husband and I booked this place on a whim due to the fact that we wanted to bike High Bridge Trail and have access to a private hot tub, grills, firepit, comfy lodging. We were blown away by the amazing design and construction of the lodge itself, and found everything perfectly suited to our needs. The private, well-marked path leading from the lodge's driveway to High Bridge Trail (just 2 miles from the high bridge itself, and another 2.5 miles from Farmville's downtown streets) was a HUGE plus. The hot tub worked great, was clean, and the lodge description gave us plenty of heads up to bring our own charcoal and firewood. We would DEFINITELY stay here again!

Relaxing and cozy

We came for a wedding which was great. But we were comfortable and relaxed at the cabin. It was so homey. I think we could have just stayed there the whole time just spending time with family.
