"Ufford seems like it could be a great place to stay and while I did enjoy my time there, a few gripes really marred the experience. Firstly the room felt tired and worn out. Bedclothes smelt musty and unwashed. The plug in the bath didn't work and had to operated with a spoon. The taps wobbled. A little TLC would go a long way. The room tea and coffee were enough for one cup each. The real kicker though was the breakfast service. Utterly chaotic, with staff milling around and no sense of control, each instruction or assistance came from other exasperated hotel guests. The hot breakfast items were taken away half filled are people were trying to get to them. The coffee machine was broken with a queue of 20 people while a number of staff hid behind the bar. I didn't bother going on my 2nd day. More importantly. The staff do not make you feel welcome at all. They avoid eye contact and there is no sense of management presence at all. Maybe this was an Easter weekend issue. But a great hotel is the people who work there. "

"Great parking. Rooms are clean / shower was a little broken Half the lockers in spa do not work. Massage was good. Dinner was good. Breakfast we were a few mins before closing they wouldn’t let us in. Beautiful grounds. "

From the moment I arrived, everything was handled with professionalism and care. ​Shoutout to Housekeeping: I stayed in Room 104, and I have to give a special mention to Amber. The clean room was absolutely pristine; her attention to detail was evident the moment I walked in. It’s rare to find such a high standard of cleanliness! ​Wonderful Staff: Beyond housekeeping, the entire staff was friendly and accommodating, ensuring a smooth and pleasant stay from start to finish. ​Comfort & Tech: The air conditioning worked perfectly—it was quiet and kept the room at a very comfortable temperature, which made for a great night's sleep. ​Prime Location: The location is incredibly convenient with several shops nearby. It was so easy to step out and grab anything I needed without having to trek across town. ​Bottom Line: Between the great service from people like Amber and the excellent facilities, I’d highly recommend The Aviator to anyone. I’ll definitely be returning!"

"I was very pleasantly surprised by my stay at The George hotel. In my opinion it is good enough to be a 4 star hotel not a 3 as advertised. The decor, the staff and cooked breakfast was marvellous, perfect poached eggs. The staff were all friendly too. Will definitely stay there again when I am in town. Thank you 😊 "

"Nice enough hotel as a whole, clean and well presented. Negative is the hard bed with spings that could be felt. Not the best sleep. "

"Didn’t have to park I used public transport. The room was smaller than I expected, and no chair or kettle and limited storage space, shower worked well. I thought it was worth the money as the location was central to the city. Fan in room was noisy at times as were the other guests."
