Location of this hotel is good, walking distance to many main sites. The hotel it’s okay, very basic accommodations, carpet in rooms and hallways are stained and don’t look clean. Breakfast buffet is good, sign up for be Melia membership and you’ll get a 2-for-1 discount regular price is 28 Euro p/person. We experienced an issue with our A/C and was fixed in a timely manner. Check in was smooth and Tamara in the reception was very helpful and friendly. On the other hand, the concierge was rude and didn’t seem interested in assisting us. We were standing in front of his booth for a while and didn’t talk or even asked if we needed help, until we asked if there was anyone who can help us, and when I asked if he spoke English he said “sometimes” like he was bothered he had to speak English. I’m not sure if I’ll choose to stay at Melia if I visit Berlin again. I’ll probably stay in a different area of Berlin.

The beds were super comfy and the rooms were modest, but clean. Check in wasn’t smooth: the self check-in kiosk didn’t work, but then I queued for 10-15min while a clerk took a phone call, despite being called forward to the desk.
The restaurant was average really. The soup ordered arrived tepid at best, and the charcuterie type option offered sliced bread because “the kitchen had ran out” - something not shared with us at time of ordering, sadly.
I was very kindly afforded the luxury to have a late checkout on my final day, but the update wasn’t shared with the housekeeping staff who knocked twice in 2h, and because we weren’t able to align in languages or translation, the conversation ended shortly.

Location was great!
Check in was not that good, but staff apologetic and getting an upgrade room.
Views of room great. Shower had no shelves for anything. Very limited railing for towels
Breakfast was good.

"The rooms are great, can't complain about the price. Location is decent, some good pubs and restaurants in the area. Can get an uber for less that €10 into the center. Little shop in the hotel is convient even if the prices are quite steep. Only downside being the check in and check is done on tablets ..."
