“I checked in late at night. After a 12.5 hour drive from Houston, Tx. Once I checked in I grabbed my bed clothes and went straight to bed. I woke up in the early AM. I was covered In bed bug bites. I messaged Expedia as I went to the front desk. A heavy set lady with white hair was frustrated and giving poor customer service as soon as I mentioned it. Claiming she needed proof and etc. I showed her the bite marks. She claimed I needed to find a bug. I expressed that I saw on the reviews that……

“The blankets felt more like curtains, heavy, rigid and not soft and pillows were half the size of those literally anyplace else so sleeping became a chore. Furniture was run down with cracks in the mirror and staples popping out of the stand the TV sat on. No amount of tidying up can fix how run down this place is. You get what you pay for. Next time, I'm picking the big Holiday Inn instead.”

"Drury might not be a luxury hotel, but it is the most generous and responsible hotel I have ever stayed with. This hotel really complies its aim to create happy customers. In my view, they do it much better than those 4-star and 5-star hotels.
Drury offers not only free hot breakfast, but also simple hot dinner (though they called it “snack”). Good coffee is provided at lobby all day. No resort fee. Over night parking is the only extra charge. The parking lot conveniently located to an attached building and is safe.
The location is perfect and safe. It locates just next to the aquarium.
Staff are friendly and very helpful and they do know how to comply the hotel’s policy (to create happy customers).
Our AC in room was out of order at 5AM during hot summer. We were waken up by the heat. We called the front desk, but at that time, they can only sent a big fan up to the room for us, as the maintenance staff would only be available at 8:00.
When we checked out, the front desk knew our experience, and told us that they would return what we had paid. They returned the room and parking charges, as well as the deposit right after we checked out. We were impressed with how the hotel's frontline staff handled this issue.
We will definitely choose to stay with Drury Hotels. This is the most generous and responsible hotel we ever experienced. They truly care about their customers."
