Kids first mountain vacation

This was our first time staying in the mountains as a family. This home offered a wonderful view along with an accessible trail. Would definitely stay here again!

Memorial Day Weekend with Daughters

It was simply the perfect place to spend time as a family. Our children fortunately grow up but unfortunately that means they have their own lives,jobs, responsibilities. So the rental, the view, the location all made a nice memory for my family!

A wonderful little piece of paradise

Check-in was easy and the cabin was beautiful and immaculate when we entered. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and the pool table.

Beautiful property

Great experience and setting for group vacation. Huge deck with hot tub and space for multiple families to stay together and have their own space. Definitely recommend!

Cabin retreat

The pictures can't do this place justice. The view was amazing. The place was clean. It had everything you needed and more. The check in was extremely easy. The staff was really nice. There is things to do there at Leatherwood and great to explore the small towns close in the area. Yet at the cabin you are all by yourself. It really was an amazing stay!

Beautiful views with great amenities!

We loved this property. It was a beautiful spot with all of the amenities we could have asked for. Keep in mind it is quite a trek from activities and grocery stores, but it is well worth the views! I would recommend arriving for the first time during daylight hours, there is a long gravel road to get to the property and it is difficult to navigate after dark. Enjoy!

Reviewer Comments: This is our third visit to Leatherwoods, each visit was remarkable, each a different experience — this one Brook Haven was the best for the scenic beauty, breathtaking sunsets, awesome night skies! Accommodations were great plenty of room to stretch out and relax, — my only draw back was the high rise beds, I am a short - older lady, needed a step ladder to get in and out of bed— which were not visible the first night, found one in the closet the next day, which worked fine for the remainder of our stay. I would stay there again happily knowing I was able to get into bed comfortably.

Peaceful place

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I love the cabin, but I had a bad experience communicating with the administration staff. The hot tub wasn't working since the first day, and until the last day, anyone fixed the issue. The worst part was anyone contacted me to explain why It was happening. The place is fantastic, but there are no places to visit around the cabin. The next city is around 45 minutes far from the house; the hot tub could help us entertain the teens.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall it was a great stay. We came for a wedding and extended a bit for a short vacation away from the kids. This house would have been great for the full family and we have discussed coming back with everyone again. The house itself was clean and well-stocked and the internet was fast. It was surprising to see the swarms of ladybugs all over the property. I removed one star because the hot tub wouldn't heat up. It never got above 93 even when we tried to heat it as hot as it would go. I specifically chose Brook Haven because there was a hot tub, and it was unfortunate to not be able to use it--and even more unfortunate when it was 30 out and we realized it felt like tepid bath water (while we were in there) I'm sure this is an easy fix though and won't happen for other guests!

All the amenities- cable TV, dish washer, ice maker, air condition, deck with grill and hot tub (We did not use the hot tub), dishware, utensils yadda, yadda, yadda were top notch. Access on the descending gravel road at night or in bad weather could be a little tricky.

Beatiful cabin and views

We loved our family vacation at this property! We enjoyed the beautiful views and decor of the cabin, kids loved the hot tub, game room, horseback riding, fishing, hiking, and tweetsie railroad! No cell reception which we didnt mind. Closest gas station took 30-40 minutes. Nice relaxing place to get away.
