Everything about this property has been meticulously designed (including the artful lighting to highlight every facet of the Riad). We stayed in the Royal suite and was throughly impressed by the room and accompanying service - every interaction was professional and polished. Dinner and breakfast was delicious. I would not only recommend this beautifully restored establishment, but also look forward to my return.

Luxury hotel with excellent service in an interesting location. Staff is top notch. Recommendations for restaurants and excursions are stellar. I stayed eight nights and definitely needed all those recommendations.

Beautiful Riad

This is a beautiful Riad, with excellent service, delicious breakfast and restaurant. The rooms are big, comfortable and nicely decorated. The bed and linens were of good quality. We had a great time and highly recommend this Riad.

Staff muy amable y dispuesto a ayudar, el unico detalle son la escaleras eso limita la movilidad para algunas personas. Está en la parte baja de la Medina así que caminarás y te perderás para llegar a los lugares que visitar. Vale totalmente la pena y pasar un atardecer en el root top con la vista espectacular

Wonderful staff

Wonderful staff in a nice hotel. The room was large, clean and the hotel staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. Hotel is in a good location close to everything Fes has to offer. Our only constructive feedback would be that it would be better to have a breakfast menu to avoid food waste as there was far too much for us to eat!

The staff and the property were extremely nice above what we expected. Food in the hotel was delicious and the interior settings were beautiful . The staff was so nice and pleasant to interact with. They were always there for you 24 /7. We would recommend this Riad to anyone.

Excellent riad in the old city. Very friendly multilingual (Arabic, English and French) staff that can help with taxis and tours. Beautiful rooms with luxury touches (we had one on the top level with an open-air terrace and a wonderful view). The restaurant is excellent for breakfast and dinner. Highly recommended for those wanting a very nice place in the old medina.

We’ll be back!

We had the most amazing stay at Karawan! The riad is stunning - with historical aspects intact, yet modern furnishings, and not to mention very clean! The staff was incredibly helpful to our every need, and the hotel is the perfect location - an oasis in the bustling Medina. Also, their restaurant is amazing with great food at every meal! We particularly enjoyed our driver, who transferred us back and forth to Marrakesh.

Karawan Riad hospitality is wonderful! Breakfast was great. Rooms are tastefully designed. 3 new rooms are being added. No slippers and shower caps in the room. This riad is not for elderly or disabled guests.

Lovely decorated Riad in a great location. The rooms look nice in photos but I found them very difficult once inside - nowhere to put anything in the bathroom, really poor lighting for getting ready in the evening, etc. The shower head in our room was terrible - spraying everywhere and so hard it was sharp and painful on my face even at lowest stream. I had to cover it with my hand just to finish my shower. The food at the hotel restaurant is not very good and the view from the rooftop is not as good as other restaurants. Otherwise though, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Honestly I don’t think this booking is worth the cost. I would personally choose somewhere else if I were to come back to Fes (and regret that I didn’t for this trip).

Excellent Riad in Fes medina

5/5. Would highly recommend this Riad, the building is stunning and the rooms are finished to a very high standard, super comfy beds and our room had a private garden. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, even at 1am helping us with airport arrangements. Each morning we were given a brilliant local breakfast and had the choice of eating on the rooftop. The Riad is a short walk to the start of the medina but 15 minutes to the main part of the medina, this can be a little far at night but it was nice to not be in the centre of everything for the entire trip. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Great hotel, poor food

Good: The most beautiful building inside with a stunning rooftop. Parking is a short walk up the road - no problem. Bad: The dinner in the hotel was unfortunately very average and expensive. Having eaten tajine all week across Morocco, it was definitely the worst one we have had. All the food was very salty. I mentioned this to the staff but they were not interested. As soon as we checked in, whilst drinking tea, the hotel were pushing us to have dinner. They asked multiple times.

Stunning and stylish RIad

This is a classically beautiful Riad with a modern feel. The level of detail and design that has gone into creating this masterpiece is truly sensational and the owners deserve huge praise for the effort they have clearly put in. The staff are lovely and will go above and beyond to help you - always with a smile - one in particular was fantastic (and I apologise - I think the name sounded like Zebbi?) - his enthusiasm was appreciated and endearing. The room is modern and was just what we needed after a number of days on the road. This Riad is a relief to come back to after a busy day at the markets. Rooftop terrace has a great view and the library has a fabulous collection of books and other items. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone. We ate at the restaurant and also had lunch prepared. The lunch was absolutely sensational - top class cuisine here.
