"The hotel is older, which is fine because it is well maintained. However be warned that the therehold to the bathroom was raised and caused a tripping hazard. The staff could have been friendlier. We were told there was a bottle of wine in the room however there wasn’t. When we brought it up the next day the guy just walked away from us. He came back 5 minutes later and said he talked to his manager and would get us another. We didn’t ask for the bottle we were just sharing. It was odd to not have clear communication. If you store your luggage they charge a $1 per piece and then you are encouraged to tip as well. It wasn’t the easiest process. Overall the stay was fine for the night."

"BED BUG WARNING!!! I paid nearly $600 per night only to be brutally bitten by BED BUGS all over my neck and chest. For a hotel at this price point, you expect a basic standard of hygiene and professional service, but this property failed miserably on both. The reaction to the bites was so severe that it required medical attention. When I reported this nightmare, the hotel’s response was even more traumatic. They hid behind a "licensed inspection" report that claimed they found nothing, completely ignoring the physical evidence on my skin. To make matters worse, they offered a measly $200 refund as a "gesture of goodwill." Offering $200 for a $600/night room where the guest was physically harmed is a complete insult. It doesn't even begin to cover my medical bills or the cost of professional treatment needed to ensure I didn't bring these pests back to my home. As a Yelp Elite member and frequent traveler, I have never seen such a lack of accountability. If you don't want to get bitten by bed bugs, do not stay here."

"The property is nice. The room was big, views incredible, lovely amenities, great location. However it’s the staff that makes it. Every single person is so outgoing, so helpful, so pleasant, really makes the stay special. My son who was with me really liked the doormen. They’d always talk to us about our day out when we got back to the hotel, and my son looked forward to telling them all about what we did. It’s unusual to find a team so consistently good."

"The room where i stayed was outdated and very small however my cousin’s room are renovated and bigger. Booked with breakfast but not worth it since it only give you option of bagel or toast. Location is good. I’m being generous in giving them a rate of 3/5."

"I have stayed at the Arlo Midtown several times and it never disappoints. Located just a few blocks from Penn Station makes this the perfect home base for a few days in NYC. The breakfast in the restaurant was a nice add from my last stay here. My only complaint would be the slamming room doors, otherwise a perfect stay!"

"one of the women at your front desk needs an attitude adjustment, she was rude to me and my team. When their ac wouldn't shut off she gave them a time limit on them moving rooms? she wouldn't move them if they took over ten minutes... i think she's in the wrong business because she surely is not hospitable. none of our tvs worked in any of our 3 rooms!
