No matter where you're coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've planned ahead. We've put together a list of handy tips that will get your Hassloch holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a stress-free experience if you've got all the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean set of clothes and something to read. Next, find a spot in your bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, any medications and maybe a quality neck pillow as well. Lastly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a pocket knife hiding in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable goods, such as bleach and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Choose comfort over style. Prepare for changes in temperature by layering up, and opt for flat, closed-toe shoes like slip-ons.
- Caused by sustained periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers during long flights. Lower your risks by staying hydrated, keeping your ankles and legs moving and wearing compression socks to help improve your circulation.
