We've rounded up all the info you need to make your journey as enjoyable as possible. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be hightailing it through airport security and having a blast in Lapedona before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a comfortable experience if you bring the right things. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as lip balm and hand cream, a clean pair of socks and a good book. Secondly, find room in your carry-on bag for your electronic devices, chargers, your important medications and perhaps a neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to take your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and fireworks, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- You'll want to go for comfort over style. Prepare for changes in temperature by dressing in layers, and opt for easy-to-remove footwear like slip-ons.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
