Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've planned ahead. We've made a list of handy hints that will help get your Monggo escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having a stress-free travel experience is to pack ahead. First up, the essentials: passport, official ID, bank cards and any vital medications. Next, take on board items that'll help keep you occupied, like your laptop or a magazine. It's also a wise idea to pack your chargers, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of headphones. Last but not least, be sure to pop in toiletry items like a toothbrush, cleansing wipes and a fresh change of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and fuels, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your goal here is to be as comfortable as possible. Go for shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, natural-fibre clothing and don't forget to bring a pullover in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
