Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you prepare well enough. We've made a list of handy tips that will get your Padre Cocha vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First and foremost, pack in your passport, official ID, wallet and vital medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy book and a laptop filled with your favorite movies are always good options. If you hope to catch up on some sleep, a neck pillow and some earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, find room for a few toiletry items so you'll step off the plane looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and fireworks, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of your airplane are not the best place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and don't forget to bring a cardigan as it can get quite cool inside the cabin during long-haul flights. Flat, slightly roomy shoes are always a good choice too.
- A serious condition called deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation. Doing foot and leg exercises while seated helps to prevent this from occurring. Wearing a good pair of compression socks is also recommended.
