We've rounded up all the info you need to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be hightailing it through airport security and having a ball in Pan County in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be easy if you carry the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletries, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare pair of socks and a good read. Next, find room in your carry-on bag for your laptop, a charger, any daily medications and maybe a cosy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp or pointed objects lurking in one of the zippers of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive products, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Opt for a pair of flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to bring a pullover in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
