We've pulled together all the info you need to make your journey as enjoyable as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be zooming through the airport and enjoying Plehedel before you know it.What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be a comfortable experience if you've got all the right things. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a clean set of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, leave space in your hand luggage for your electronic devices, chargers, any vital medications and maybe a cozy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, remember to take your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of prohibited items can differ between air carriers, the general rule to follow is nothing sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes things like screwdrivers, pocket knives, aerosol cans and bleaching agents. Sporting equipment like golf clubs, and objects that could injure passengers, such as pepper spray and guns, can't come on board with you either.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your goal here is to be as comfortable as possible. Layer up in breathable clothing and remember to pack a pullover just in case you get chilly. Opt for well-fitting, flat shoes as it's possible that your feet and ankles will swell a little during the flight. Leave the high heels and chunky boots in your luggage.
- You've probably heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by reduced mobility or inactivity. There are many ways to minimize your risk. Don a pair of compression socks or tights, drink plenty of water and move your legs and feet. Walk around the cabin when possible or try out some simple stretches in your seat.
