No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you've prepared well. We've made a list of handy hints that will get your Pommern holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a cruisy experience if you've got all the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean pair of socks and a good novel. Next, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, your medications and maybe a proper neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your number one priority when choosing what to wear on board. Loose, breathable clothing is a smart option, as are flat, enclosed shoes.
- Most of us have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To lower your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression socks and do gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat.
