Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you prepare well enough. We've made a list of handy tips that will get your Sojuela holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a comfortable experience if you bring the right things. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh change of clothes and something to read. Next, make room in your carry-on bag for your laptop, a charger, your medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and poisons, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and choose shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to take on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
