Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you're well organised. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Zlobin holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be easy if you bring the right things. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean pair of socks and a good read. Secondly, find room in your carry-on bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, your medications and maybe a proper neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, remember to take your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and fuels, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfortable clothing and go for shoes that are flat and easy to take on and off.
- Most of us have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To lower your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks or tights and keep your legs and feet moving.
